Hi,

I currently use Dawson Precision Charger and MOS sights on all of my pistols. With the G43, I have Ameriglo Agents. The Agent sights are very nice, I just prefer Dawson and maintaining uniformity between each gun. Dawson does not carry Chargers specifically for the G43, but the Charger does indeed fit on the G43. According to Dawsons website, the G43 specific carry sights are listed as having a .180 tall rear and a .185 tall front. If I were to place a .225 tall Charger on the G43 with a .230 front, will my POA/POI be the same? Sorry if this seems confusing. Thank you.

I would say yes, your POI will be the same as with the lower sights. The difference between the front and rear sights (.005) is identical, so I would think the POI would remain identical.

Realizing I am late to answer the question I will add this anyway because it works so nicely. The Dawson sight calculator.

While the change is numerically the same (.005), the percentage is not. You are raising the sight plain, relative to the bore. Now how much it will change, I don't know without running the math. It may not be much, or even noticeable depending on what distance you shoot. Think of it this way, if you made both sights an inch taller, what does that do to the bore? It drives it down from your line of sight, lowering the POI.
