Suppressed upper receiver group. SIG can, I would love to know more about it. The wire on the can is to protect from burns.

It looks to be essentially an integrally suppressed 5.56 MCX upper.

So does this fit and function on M4 lowers or is it am MPX complete gun ?

The MCX upper will fit and function on M4 lowers with an adaptor that projects above the AR lower receiver buffer tube ring and covers the rear of the channel where the MCX recoil spring assembly resides. This is needed to fully contain the MCX recoil assembly.

It appears this upper is essentially a MCX upper on an M4 lower with the adaptor. However, I’ll need to study the pictures a little closer / clearer to see if this is the case.

Everything that is coyote color is included in the kit. The Sig SURG was different from most of the SURG entries in that it will and can function unsuppressed.

The SURG was a NSW and MARSOC driven program. USASOC went the URG-I route instead which is an overhaul of the normal M4A1 with a Daniel Defense CHF midlength barrel and Geissele rail and parts. The SURG is a bit more ambitious and holistic. I really want to see closeups of the suppressor because the present suppressors Sig don't come close to meeting the requirements.
