This is a really big deal considering she pretty much bled out on the floor at Kroger 4 years ago. I have buddies with ACCPD who have told me some stories about Sgt. Gale. She's a scrapper for sure.

It still hasn't been determined if the perp in this case is mentally fit to stand trial. The same Kroger, about a year later, was the scene of another near fatal incident involving a LEO working extra duty. He was notified by one customer that another customer had warrants. During his FI with her a struggle ensued and she was able to snatch his gun. He dropped the mag (old S&W with mag safety) saving his own life.
