Tried to connect earlier, kept coming up saying I wasn't authorized. Even when I logged out it would say I wasn't authorized. Obviously it's working now.

Looking into this, see no problems as of yet.

Did the same to me. When I clicked the link to contact Tom, it popped to a 503 error.

Probably some server/hosting flatulence.

Same issue here at around 4amET.

No, I'm not so much of a loser I need to be on PF at 4am, I was a silent participant on a work call with an overseas team. :P

You guys aren't authorized to see what the hell happened here at the time.

"I want the Forum!"

"You can't handle the Forum!"

...but more seriously, I see this happen about once a week, usually very early in the morning (just like mtnbkr). I thought it was just me.

I've noticed the site hiccups periodically. Not often enough to call it a problem.

I'm glad I'm not the only who had the issue, and who surfs here late in the morning. Though you other guys should post more so that I have something to read.

I get on here after shift ends at 4AM. I’ve never seen it so I must be authorized. :p

Our hosting provider hates us.

They advertise (and guarantee but routinely fail to provide) 99.9% uptime (which isn't particularly impressive), which means they don't think the site will be down for more than a minute and a half or so per day.

I must have shitty luck cause I seem to always catch that minute and a half.

One of these days I'm going to sit down with a couple vB installs and figure out how to do this multi-homed distributed site hosting idea I had.

Heh. One of the projects I'm on needs to maintain 99.999% or there are severe penalties. Breach that SLA too many times and the customer has the right to walk in and take over the service. I'm glad I'm on the security people and processes side of the service and not at all involved with the technical design or operation portion.

For those bad at math, that is 5.26 minutes per year of unscheduled downtime.

Just got the 503 message a few minutes ago. Came back and it works fine.

Sorry, Tom. Looks like I kicked over a hornet's nest.
