You buy an aluminum clipboard so you can more easily write your scores on quals and drills and it excites you more than a new gun.

Between karmapolice and myself, we’ve probably spent the price of a Glock on targets, pasters, stands, Target storage , and other little range kit things in the last month or two.

Either we’re really into skill building, or we’re going to be buying pocket protectors next week. Not sure yet.

You stop and realize you own a lot of orange gear and your favorite color isn’t even orange.

Or perhaps you're using water proof notebooks at the range in the event it is raining, and your choice of notebooks is orange.

OI!!! You forgot a link to where you got that. Other people are in need of sturdy clipboards too, don't you know. :)

Engineer clipboards are awesome. You can keep spare targets and whatnot inside of them in addition to the clip portion. Makes it real handy to keep things dry but accessible if it starts raining.

Not the exact one (bought mine at Office Max locally) but same thing. Specifically wanted the large clip for easier one handed operation.

I've dedicated an old iphone 5C as my "range" data device. I stripped it of all unnecessary apps, and I use it to take video, photos, log drill times and manage practiscore. It's pretty handy for keeping things separated from my work/personal phone. I also don't like exposing my personal phone to range dirt and lead contaminants. Airdrop makes it simple to transfer data if I need to work on it via tablet.

Shhh...be careful or they'll add these to the list of banned high capacity magazines clips.

Ooh, a high capacity clip...! That sounds very tactical. ;)

No but seriously, thank you. When you wrote your first post I was reminded of how our current clip board is kind of floppy, so I should probably do something about that.

My buddy got a stamp on his ass cheek saying made in the USA. Don’t ask me why - he was sober.

I do much the same thing as the phone (I use my daughter's beat iPhone 5) adds data like date, time, and location that I no longer need to manually record. I have also learned to take a screenshot of the weather app in case I am recording velocity.
