Surprises For My Brother

This week marks 1 year since my father died while I was holding his hand. My brother and I were both there. It is, hands down, the worst day of our lives (our mother died in dad’s arms). What my brother doesn’t know: I just bought a ticket to KCMO and arrive Friday. I am going to buy him a machine gun shoot. I am going to leave my dad’s favorite Guns with him (the 3 Guns my dad truly loved:Condition 1 Pistolsmithing 1911, P7M13, and an Enfield Jungle Carbine).

Very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Lost mine last fall. That's extraordinarily generous of you to leave your Dad's favorites with him. I'm sure they'll be cherished!

I have a pile of guns, but I'd gladly leave them all in the dust for the PX4 my dad gave me at 20 and my grandpa's Colt Python he gave me for graduating law school.

It's a tremendous gift you are giving. Be thankful the good relationship you have with your brother. It will help you both power through the hard memories and remember the precious ones.
