I’m looking for ideas to orgazine our storage room at one of the PDs ranges. We have numerous boxes of targets(paper man sized) just lying about and they get all jacked up and disorganized over time. Does anyone have an idea for a rack or storage shelf system for targets?

Would something along the lines of these racks used for newspapers work?

How about a flat file cabinet.

I built shelves in the back of ours deep enough to hold them flat. There's two layers and they're wide enough for four stacks of targets.

Find a used office supply store. They should have some used blue print drawers. Almost nobody buys these and they'll be cheap used - I've typically paid $50 a piece. They are perfect for target storage.

Thanks guys. The blue print drawers look perfect. I was going to do PVC pipe but I like storing them flat.

I use PVC pipe with an end cap on one end and a screw in observation port on the other. This fills the role of a waterproof place to put the targets on rainy range days. It also makes a handy transport container when we are traveling to other ranges.

I think that the newspaper ladder thing albeit on a lager scale would do the trick for shoot shack storage.

Blueprint cabinet or flat file cabinet are probably the best.

You may be able to convince a local retailer or office store to order you a couple of the racks used to store poster board in as well. Those would work.

Last year Action Targets had on clearance, "target tubes" which were just poster tubes. If you want a portable solution, these are pretty good:
