Yup, ordered mine. Perfect reinforcement for the 5-year-old granddaughter.

Who can already tell you the Four Rules, he said proudly.....

Also ordered. My munchkin will be 2 in March, but I might as well have it on hand, and I'm sure I'll read it to her before then anyway!

Ordered. Midget is about ready for the Eddie Eagle program; this will complement it nicely.

Too late! Kids are 13 and 11 now! Woulda snagged this in a heartbeat several years back...probably pick up a few as gifts for coworkers with little ones. I consider it borderline child neglect not to get them out shooting by 7-8, so early education is a must!

And is there anyone more America! than Julie G? I dunno.....maybe Lady Liberty? Maybe.

I really like this book, it gets somewhat technical, just the right level.

Great book. A nice complement to Safety On by Yehuda Remer.

It's really good, and I especially appreciated the info for parents in the back.

Very well done. :)

Got mine, read it, passed it around a bit. Feedback:

-Add approximate age range to target parents. Will also be a question for child care, school, or ed program library placement. (Pre-K label was suggested)
-Toys and tools is a good theme
-Title is catchy
-Racially diverse characters open more audiences.
-On the page starting "do you know what a tool is", right side, girl in shorts has pruning shears or something in left hand. Next page, dude on the right side has a big pair of hedge clippers performing same task. The theme of that page is toys that look like tools. Small hammers, easy-bake ovens, etc are good choices. Clippers seem out of place with other items on the page.
-Hammer and nail beside an exaggerated, swollen thumb could depict what happens when a tool isn't used carefully. Sets a familiar visual for consequences of careless tool use. Possibly place after the "guns can hurt you but they can keep you safe too" page.
-Parents guide in the back is big value added
-Length is about right for pre-K attention span
