So I happened to see this little gem pop up in an AIM Surplus email this morning. Checked Magpul's site, it apparently doesn't exist as far as their site is concerned. Thoughts?

Good prices on the other mags as well, if only I had some spare money lol I'd order some more to replace all my kci Korean mags..

The Magpul 12 round mags for the G26 make sense to me for multiple reasons. A ten round magazine not so much as it really doesn't do anything I can't accomplish better with OEM magazines or the 12 rounder from Magpul.

I believe the product linked to at Aim is a 10-round G19-sized mag, which I agree aren’t particularly useful or interesting to me — but I don’t live in a state with mag capacity restrictions.
Ack!!! That's what I get for posting before finishing my coffee.
Thanks for setting me straight and my apologies for not studying the ad more closely.

They're not marketing them to you, they're marketing them to people who live in (magazine-capacity) restrictive jurisdictions.
At 1/2 to 1/3 of the price, and much easier to clean (compared to OEM), I think they'll sell well.

Indeed and Tom beat me to it. These G19 10-rounders are interesting as OEM 10 rounders from Glock have a rep (even from Glock) that they’re not Duty/carry worthy. A 10 round Magpul mag that functions just as well as a 15 round sample would be a God send and literally what people (myself included) have been asking for.

Indeed it would. If the internal dimensions and follower design aren’t half-ass slapped together like the Glock OEM design was it should work fairly well.

Interesting, I've been waiting for something like this for awhile. I've been using OEM Glock 10 round magazines slightly modified to accept the 9mm6 follower in my G19, because the 2183 followers and 9mm3 followers cause nose dive issues with JHPs. I just ordered two, I'll test them out my next range session.

I wonder if the rounds are double stacked in the mag tube and somehow the internal dimensions are just allowed to accept the 10....or are they single stacked liked the Glock oem. From other posts about this topic on the forum, I remember someone mentioning that the shape of the 9mm cartridge and single stack don't go well together.

Re the configuration, this is from the AIM link: Utilizes the same double stack feed geometry as the standard capacity PMAG GL9 to ensure feeding and to avoid known reliability issues seen in many competitor products on the market
Will be interested to hear folks' comments on these, and also to hear when these ship, considering AIM is the only place I see these mentioned.

I live in CA, carry a G19 and have been pestering Magpul for these. I've never had a problem with my OEM 10 rd magazines but they do have a bad reputation. I'll be giving these a try too.

Prior to the 2004 expiration of the AWB I used three Glock 10 rd G19 magazines exclusively for training classes and practice. Not once did I experience any stoppages in thousands of rounds fired.

Just saw this... Sold out for now, but I clicked the "notify" buttion. Will order some as soon as they are available again, as my state imposes magazine restrictions. Looking forward to hearing some more about them and how they work. I have yet to have a problem with my OEM 10 rounders, but keep hearing about problems with them.

Good question. Although I haven’t figured out exactly how you’re supposed to disassemble them, it appears to be blocked to only accept 10 rounds instead of going all the way down to 15.

Larry I am slightly confused brother. By CT I meant Connecticut, but I am looking for a website or a local shop to purchase these. Any ideas?
I’m in Ct as well, I purchased through aim surplus when they went on sale. No other source for them as of yet, but I can ask my local FFL (Wolcott) if he can or has a line on how to snag them.

I put a box of 147gr HST and a mix of 100 rounds of LAX and Perfecta 115gr through two of the magazines with no problems. Loading the last round in each mag was worse than loading OEM 10 round Glock magazines to capacity. Now I just have to figure out how to disassemble them past removing the floorplates...

Sent from mah smertfone using tapathingyJust wanted to toss in a photo of the tube. Disregard if you've seen it already. I also removed the slide from my 5th gen 19 and inserted the factory 10 round magazine with the flat follower and did the same with a magpul magazine. From my unscientific test it appears the magpul follower appears to alleviate that "shallow" angle of the factory mag.

The 10 round PMAG follower is the same as the other Glock PMAGs. It would appear that tube geometry has largely not been messed with. Which means they pretty much engineered a capacity block to be an integral part of the magazine. Good design choices IMHO.

So far I’ve got around 500 rounds of 124 gr. Lawman through my 2 PMAG 10 rounders. Zero issues thus far. Going to transition to 147gr. Lawman and Gold Dots on my next ammo order because I like the POI better and I want to see how these magazines handle that ammo.
Any updates from anyone else?

There has been a need for this for some time.
My 10 round Glock mags for the G19 and G17 tend to work well, with RNFMJ, with FN or JHPs they often fail, not a good thing unless you only use them for something like IDPA.

UPDATE:
I now have somewhere over a case of Lawman 124gr through two of these Magpul 10-rounders and I’ve had 0 issues. I’ve also fed them a handful of 124 gr Gold Dots with no hiccups. I just started in on a case of 147 gr Lawman which happens to be FMJFP and they seemed to feed the first 100 rounds still drama free.
Continuing to evaluate, but the results seem promising from my humble testing size.

I have 4 of the G17 size 10 round Magpuls. So far about 100 rounds each of NATO spec 124 gr. And about 50 each with 147 gr standard pressure HST (P9HST2). No issues so far. They are to be my go to Ca. mags. in my G17 as I can’t bring my comped G19 there.
