6920 Deals?

Considering picking up a 6920 or equivalent if end-of-year funds line up right. Looking for one that might be can-worthy for predator hunting down the line.

What's the best deal on a plain-Jane version? Straight up Colt, DD, other?

Keep an eye out on gun.deals to see if the Trooper version drops down to $700 again. Otherwise, those Mexican contract 6920s are the best deal going.

Looking at a used gun, is there any reason to avoid a Colt with the "M4" roll mark and an LE serial number? Any problematic years or s/n ranges, etc?

I hadn’t heard of any problematic serial number ranges. If it matters at all, I believe the M4 roll marks and LE serial number prefix guns command a slightly higher price on the used market for some reason.
