I have a small collection of fixed blades that I'll be expanding upon in the future. Please feel free to post pictures of your fixed blade knives for discussion. Here are a few examples that I own.

Blind Horse Knives - Frontier First Heritage Edition (Sambar Stag antler). One day this will be my son's first knife. (Jan/12 Special)

Thanks TCinVA, I really appreciate your help on this.

The top knife is Szabo Express that Laci was offering at this year's Blade Show. It's only when I got home that I realized I really liked the design.

The second is a Crawford Fixed Kasper.

Both knives have 5" blades and are really lively in the hand.

Picked mine up on an impulse browse of Bladeforums. This was one of his earlier knives, not that you could tell. Not the exact thing I'd choose if buying new, but it's been and continues to be a great do everything knife.

Wow some really nice blades in this thread. I really need to invest in a quality custom knife so I have something respectable to hand down to my kids when they are ready.

Here is my first fixed blade knife my pop's gave me when I was a kid that I've used for about 25 years. It's a $2 Imperial knife (guess pop's didn't like me much that day:p) that has served me well suprising despite the low cost. I've recently been using a Mora Classic #2 and really dig it considering it's a $14 knife. It's light with sheath, krylon and magnesium rod/half SKS stripper clip striker. Sharpens easily and works good in the kitchen, hiking and hunting. I'm hoping to harvest some Javelina meat the end of this month.

I still have one of those Imperials around here somewhere.
I bought it from a hardware store that was going out of business. I think the price was $3.

I ought to find it again and sharpen it up.

What does one of the BOB's run price wise? What steel does Paul use? I didn't find much info. on his website.

Knife only with sheath was $135. I need to go back and get a trainer when I'm closer to actually getting some training. Delivery time was about 3 months.

The other guys beat me to it and I only got the knife with sheath and Tek-Lok for $135. The reason for the high price with the trainer is he gives you another sheath and Lok so you don't have to swap things around. My wait time was a hair over 4 months. Delivery is scheduled for this Friday and I'll get some more pictures posted along with a little write up this weekend.

Nick was kind enough at the last range trip to let me examine his new knife (see how I said that without it going into the ditch) damn thing is small and hella sharp. Great little tool in my book, it's generated more interest in me to get away from my ZT folder and transition to a fixed blade....more money to training and equipment.

My go to big blade for the past couple of years is a Ka-Bar Becker BK7. I thump on it pretty hard, and it stays sharp with minimal upkeep.

My newest knife is a Blind Horse Knives Woodsman Pro. I reworked the edge geometry a little to get it the way I like it. I'm looking forward to my next camping trip to really put it through its paces.

Hope you don't mind a few questions...

Blade material?
Handle material?
The blade looks pretty straight compared to the Clinch Pick. Was the sweep taken out of the blade to make to easier to produce or for functional reasons?

Thanks

I've got the brother to BOM's set.... produced at the same time and shipped on the same day. I've been carrying it since I opened the box.

Blade Material is O1 Tool Steel. Not sure of the hardness, but I can tell you my knife has a wicked sharp edge on it.

Handle is Canvas Micarta that is bead blasted.

I'm going to venture out and guess that the upsweep was taken out in order to create enough difference between Paul's knife and Southnarc's design for the CP. Perhaps Southnarc can chime in, as he authorized Paul to produce these since they were so close to the CP design.

I've also noticed that the Paul Moore version's grip is more flat and less bulb-like than the CP, but thats only looking at pictures.

Maybe Todd or someone coming to AFHF April 2012 here in Albuquerque that has a CP, will be kind enough to let me inspect it side by side to BOM's and my knives... otherwise I'll have to wait for the next Shivworks production run this fall.

You missed it in Phoenix during ECQC when I was comparing my CP with Troy's BOB.

The BOB handle is a little longer and much flatter than the "egg" handle of the CP. The blade seems a little longer, but that might be appearance due to it being straighter.

I prefer the CP, but if I didn't have one, I would definitely be carrying a BOB.

Didn't feel like dragging them all out.......(not sure where "all" might be stashed anyway)

Kabar something or other, with a mini-knife companion
Strider something or other
SOG something or other
Winkler II Model VI
Special Circumstances Special Ed V1 (V2 inbound soon)
Some Euro company something or other
Clinch

I like the Winkler knives. They are substantially cheaper, and substantially less wait than some of the others that have caught my eye. As for wear and tear, they hold up like they were designed and built to do it.

Last weekend the wife dragged me, kicking and screaming, to the Spring Fair. (Well, OK, the kicking and screaming part is a slight exaggeration...) She had a couple of specific vendors she wanted to see. I... was hoping my knees and hip would hold out.
Fortunately, the Dock Dogs were showing off, so we had that going for us.
Also, there was a knife vendor. Moslty Cutlery By LaClaire (http://cutlerybylaclaire.com/index.htm) is a dealer for Hammer Stahl kitchen cutlery, but their Willamette Valley Cutlery (http://cutlerybylaclaire.com/customknives.php) line has some pretty nifty stuff.
I resisted the urge to let her buy me a nice Damascus folder to either gather dust in the display case or (as is my norm for pocket knives) lose, but I've been wanting a nice utility/camp knife...

I carried a spyderco street beat and liked it quite a bit. My normal edc is a Mark Goldsworthy MG Pakal in 440c (under $200 and he can extend or shorten the blade if you like). Have an AmericanKami GITFO on order that may replace it, though.

Some love for Special Circumstances Inc & Ian Wendt. Best alternative materials knives out there.

Been carrying this for a couple weeks now... It's... Stabby...

Carbon fiber laminated to a titanium core make for a very fast, light, quick handling blade. And it's wayyy sharper than any other titanium knives I've handled (even some big name makers).

The grip texture and grip shape really lock into your hand and don't allow any movement, twisting or shifting of the knife during use.... That is a central theme to all of his knives, they can not shift under heavy impact.

The shock cord system on the sheath allows for vertical or horizontal carry, and even though it's a larger size knife (4" blade w/ roughly the same size grip), it conceals very very well.

I did a review of a DPx HEST in a local knife pass around. I was the final recipient and it was in pretty rough shape edgewise. It's a well made knife but I don't buy into some of the features.

Here's a link to the review with lotsa pictures. My apologies to the serious bloggers in the group, it's not much of a blog as far as blogs go.

Nice! Does that steel have a shared history with your acting days?

Not directly, although I was a fight choreographer as well as an actor. I did a lot of Shakespeare in my thespian days and I'm sure my love of swords made me gravitate towards it. All of the weapons shown are historically accurate recreations and as such are very sharp, nothing an actor would want to have swung at them. :D My motherr was a rabid anti-gun individual but she had no worries about a room full of swords, go figure.

It's still a work in progress, but I'm using old Victorian photos as an inspiration. During the Victorian Age there was a huge swell in the interest of medieval arms and armor, largely due to the popularity of the works of Sir Walter Scott: Ivanhoe, Robin Hood, etc. Every Victorian gentleman worth his salt had a study decked out in weapons and armor. Red was a popular color for the walls as the shiny bits displayed well against it. I've always liked the look so I decided to see if I could replicate it here. This is the main room in the basement. I don't have the whole house decorated like Medieval times, just this one room. Most people who come into the house never know it's down there. Fortunately my wife likes it too.

What do you want to know? Small doe at 200yd, quartering away, 308 entered in lung and exited the head. It was my first time skinning and quartering (won't be the last!) and the tenderloin was delicious!

The knife in the foreground is the fat-handled Sargent M3 I posted about elsewhere. The knife behind it is a Drifter by Matt Paul that I recently acquired. Neither knife seems to be the best tool for the job, since they're general-purpose workhorse-type knives, but I'll tell you what: they're both able to hold a hair-shaving edge and that made it easier than another guy whose knife was not quite as sharp. The M3 did an entire deer and still shaved my arm (though it took a little more effort than before the butchery) and same with the Drifter, though the Drifter only did half of my buddy's buck. The drop-point on the Drifter was much less nerve-wracking than the pointy M3, though, when unzipping the belly. Again, sharpness overcomes a lot when working with a knife!

Importantly (for me, at least) the fat M3 handle kept my hand happy - my shoulders and back were aching after processing the whole doe, including chopping through a leg bone just to see what would happen, but my hand wasn't very tired at all. With the smaller-handled Drifter, though the handle is very comfortable-feeling, my hand was hurting well before finishing half a deer. Important lesson about "functional fit" that is true for guns as well as knives - just because it "feels good in the hand," doesn't mean it will perform well ergonomically for you.

Yep, I'm definitely getting the bug. That small doe is delicious, too. Is it too early to be looking forward to testing out my fixed blades on an elk this fall? :D

I should also mention that funky holds, where you've got a chunk of blade in your hand as well as some of the handle, are much less comfortable with the fat-handled M3 than the Drifter. But I'm new enough at knifery that I don't use funky holds very much, so the M3 is my go-to for the foreseeable future. ... Given that, I can't figure out why I'm so loathe to sell any of my other knives. ;)

Gentlemen,

good aftrernoon. I am not sure if this would be the place to post this. Please move it if you see fit.

I am looking for some feedback on a new design. For years several people have asked me about making a larger reverse edge knife. The BoB has been very good to me, and I hope to the owners as well.

I finally mated a few patterns together and came up with my version of a larger pikal knife. I have made a working prototype to get a better feel. It seems to work well in several grips.

Take a look and tell me what you think. This is a first draft, so comments are welcome and needed.

It is more of a defense / offensive design, but can still do normal
knife functions as well.

Wondering Beard
02-16-2015, 02:05 PM
The pikal, in its defensive purpose as I understand it, is meant for stabbing (deeply and without needing much force) and ripping. The blade shape you have looks like it's more for work and cutting.

A narrower point with a straight edge, or slightly claw like, would fit the pikal 'philosophy' better. Also a straight edge with a handle like yours still enables the knife to do regular cutting and work.

Personally, I would change the guard a little so that the fingers don't easily slde off the handle onto the blade (not really a concern in reverse grip)

pmooreknife
02-16-2015, 08:49 PM
I agree. In the purist forum, mine would look like the others. I guess i am looking to create a hybrid if you will.
If that can be done. Take some of the "evil" look away, and still be able to perform the intended task. Plus add more
dutyty to the Pikal. If you think about it, how many knives do you carry in a days time.
I would like to create a 24hr duty knife.

Paul

DI1
02-16-2015, 09:52 PM
Paul,
Looking at your website, the first hunting knife you have (posted September 27, 2010) would be an excellent all around 24hr duty knife. Maybe a slight guard or larger finger choil to protect the hand. The sheath design is as important as the knife!

My favorite large knife is the Smatchet design. This is one of the Boker versions I have. Been on the lookout for an Al Mar version for decades.

Nice knife. I've always been partial to the Fairbairn Fairsword and Applegate Smatchet designs. It's probably time for a uber tactical upgrade to the old design like some folks have done with the F/S and V42 daggers.

Some of you may know that the number 42 in Japanese, can be translated to "death". For a man, the 42nd year is their Yakudoshi, or their year of calamity. To ward off this bad luck we try to have some celebrations with family and friends, rituals at the temples, and such. Well, I'm 42 this year, and my dad stopped me yesterday to give me a Yakudoshi gift. It was given to him for his yakudoshi in 1990. He said he hopes that I can give it to my son during his year of misfortune.

I did not know my father even had this until last year, when I acquired my first Tom Mayo folder. He saw the logo on my blade and proclaimed that he had a knife by that same maker. I was shocked when this was revealed:

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h30/grandprixboy/74D62AF2-F61D-4028-AA39-8AA8A4627A80.jpg

So here it is, the knife I'll use to fight off bad luck this year. If this thing can't ward off misfortune, I don't know what can.

It's been sitting in its leather sheath for that whole time and there's some damage to the steel as a result. I don't know if I should reach out to Tom to see if I can have the finish restored, or leave it as-is.

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, I never made it to a ROS. I think the last one occurred when I was in college. One day, I'd like to make it out to Oregon to train with James Keating. Until then, I have videos.

There's just something about a bowie knife that's purely American. Just like holding a fine rifle, it gives the holder the feeling that they alone are the master of their destiny.

Here's a couple of recent additions. First of all, a Kevin Cashen bowie with a 10" blade sharpened on both edges and a checkered ironwood handle with single brass pin:
6066

And a German trench knife. I need to research it some more, but it appears to be WWI vintage:
6067

And, lastly, the first and only bowie I've made to date. Completed Jan. of 2014 with 10" of 1084 and an elk handle. Stainless fittings and endcap. The elk handle was chosen and mounted for a left hander, as the owner is left handed.

How tacky is the grip in that version? I received a micarta handled version as a gift, and it is a beautiful knife, but sometimes with my extremely dry hands it does seem slippery. On the other hand, if the rubber grip is too "sticky" (like some Cold Steel knives), I imagine it would catch onto clothing.

Lyonsgrid
02-22-2016, 09:23 AM
It's not sticky at all...more on the smooth side. It will take nice to stippling if you wish. I left mine stock due to it riding next to my skin most of the time.
It's a great knife and the sheath is workable.

Truman is another brand you might want to check out. It's a little less expensive and a slightly different aesthetic but the leathers they use are on par with Viberg. Frankly between the two frankly I would choose Viberg, however Truman is still worth looking at.

Then why didn't you say that?

Dddrees
06-19-2016, 03:27 PM
Seriously?

I said start another thread for your shoes instead of posting them in the fixed blade knife thread. You're response was to most MORE pictures of shoes in the fixed blade knife thread.

So, let me try again. Start another thread for footwear.

Seriously

No harm was intended. I originally posted a knife with a pair of boots just as others have posted knives with other objects as well. Someone just happened to ask a question about the boots, so I posted one more picture of another pair. You brought up footwear, so I posted another picture. If I post anymore pictures in this thread I'll do my best to make sure it at least includes a knife.

Dddrees
06-19-2016, 03:40 PM
And now we get a thread rundown. :) Thanks, I'm aware of the string of events that lead to you posting pictures of your shoes. I noticed the interest, and suggested you guys should start a new thread specifically for footwear because obviously there's interest and I think it would be a good thread. And, again, your response was to post more shoe pictures here instead of starting a new thread. I'm genuinely scratching my head on this one. Maybe it's because I'm ESL or something.

Or maybe I just didn't understand that your initial post was more of a warning or a suggestion to keep footwear out of this thread. Frankly I wasn't even initially aware that you were a moderator.

Click the pic. Warrior's Way. Looks nice, and I'm sure it is the shiznit, but I am never paying $550 for a knife of any kind.

I used to think that. Then a bunch of my best friends and some of the nicest and best people I've ever met turned out to be custom knife makers. And the longer you hang out with them and drink and talk and they help you build a garage at your parents house, or help you make a knife to give to your best friend before he goes off to Iraq, or send you encourage text messages when you're interviewing for graduate school, telling you how you'll always have a place as a shop-monkey if you don't make it...

Suddenly dropping $500 on a knife? It doesn't matter much anymore. It's a tool, but its a tool that is for a purpose. It supports someone's life, their family, their whole existence. And those people tend to be the best salt-of-the-Earth kinda folks. The kinda folks who make knives, because its fun and challenging and they want to get better at it. Many of them do it in their spare time. A bunch of them make those tools because they want their friends, family, and customers to go into harm's way with the very best they can give them and they realize the best they can give them is made with their own blood, sweat, and tears.

You can think of it as "just a knife", but in the case of custom knives, I prefer to think of them as, "Products of someone's life." - And I'm more than happy to drop the cash for that.

My father taught me, way back when, the family business was just starting...he said to me, "You can treat this work like it is a money making opportunity. And you can cut corners and do it half-assed and charge it all off on the customer. Or you can do it right, do it like you would do it for yourself. And I guarantee you, that if you do it like you would for yourself, you'll have a happier customer and be happier for it. Because giving people the best is always worth the effort."

It is all about necessity.

A Timex tells the time just as well as a Patek, but they both still exist for a reason.

It's true, it really is. And many of my knife making friends will tell you a $5 paring knife properly sharpened can do most of the cutting work a person might need. But that doesn't mean it can't be better...nor does it mean it can't be worse. I know we're big on "mission drives the gear train" here. And I fully support that a minimalistic approach focused on skills first, tools seconds, is the best approach. But once you've gotten sufficiently versed in the mission skills, there is nothing wrong with refining your gear and improving it to fit and work best for you. And if necessary, constructing something entirely new for yourself may be precisely what is necessary.

This is why I don't begrudge people who say - shoot 2011s Unlimited competition regularly, building a 2011-defensive oriented gun. They have a bunch of repeated, hard-wired, skills. And they realize that given their mission and skillset(s), a hand-crafted, fully-specified, handgun is right for their work. I bet they can run a Glock 34 just fine, but it makes sense for that person, because of everything else they do. Same story with a blade. Given an X, Y, Z specification a $35 Gerber Guardian might be fine, or a $550 Warrior's Way dagger might do the job.

I agree, of course.

I was told a long time ago it is never the tool, but always the skill, that allows success.

The caveat is that when the best tool is available for a specific task it would counter every self preservational instinct we have to disregard it, especially when we can afford it or have a need for it.

Another good concept is "a luxury, once tasted, becomes a necessity". So once you have something that is awesome at what it does, stands out in various ways and allows you do what you want on various levels with ease you tend to default to it, or something better, not never something worse.

Consider anything you, or we here on pf, do which others would think is crazy. How much cash have we spent on holsters? Tactical type accessories- belts, shoes, glasses, pouches, blades? Would anyone here go backwards to a crossbreed or something of that nature? Probably not.

It's the human way, the progression of evolution. We are fortunate here because we have guys who are knowledgeable enough to help others jump from one point to another without all the middle stuff. Imagine graduating high school and someone in your family hands you a Rolex or omega watch. Easily the cost of a car which you would probably like. You would think they are crazy, but what they did was give you a tool which will help you in the long run. Same concept....you turn 21 and get your CCW, someone gives you a JM aiwb, a Glock 19 with some nice sights and a voucher for a few classes with some vetted instructors. Sounds like a lot right? But it is exactly where we all should be without the all the stuff in the middle.

Then again...there is something to be said about the journey...

Same for the employees at Glock, S&W, or really any company. Someone spends their limited number of heartbeats working to produce whatever is consumed. Ostensibly, they don't want to come to work and produce a crappy product. Whatever it is becomes important to them if they care about their work. Fair pay for fair work. I have no qualms with that. I don't care if someone pays $12,000 or more for a potato peeler if they want said item. Just don't pretend that this is a more noble investment than spending the same $12,000 on something else.

Honestly, I think if someone gave a kid who had no car (and couldn't afford one) a Rolex watch it would be a huge disservice. Kid could then tell what time he should be at work, but couldn't get there. Eventually may pawn the watch for a fraction of what is worth to get a car to get to work. Said investment could have gotten more in car if that was initial purchase. I try to avoid a "Let them eat cake" approach to scenarios like this and instead go with a Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs or similar thinking.

I get you like high end knives. They look nice. I'm sure they are great. I complemented your blades. I wouldn't pay that for them (personal choice in not paying gun prices for a knife...I don't have an opinion on your purchasing habits), but then, I'd give the kid a car and consider it a tool he could use to get to work and let him buy a Rolex once he took care of priorities first and "earned" the watch. All in perspective and needs vs wants. Kinda of like me saying you really need a high end full custom pistol to replace your EDC Glock or on a much smaller scale, Surefire pistol lights to replace your Streamlights. Probably not something you feel is necessary. Obviously, from your photos, you believe Glock and Streamlight are adequate to the task at hand. Same with me and say an ESEE or Colonel blade as opposed to a Warriors Way. But I'm glad there are more refined options for those that need / want them.

I concur on the fair pay for fair work bit. But I definitely don't see Glock as equivalent to a custom knife. A custom 1911 built by Jason Burton is equivalent to a custom knife. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some of the unionized workers who work for Colt do it, because they really do think they are building the best product in the land. But I've stood on and studied the dynamics of assembly lines. There is a reason robots are doing most of the factory-line work these days...they're better and faster at it.

Just don't pretend that this is a more noble investment than spending the same $12,000 on something else.

I'm not actually pretending, it is a more noble investment, full-stop. $500 on a custom knife, made by one man, in his one man shop, to produce a high quality product is better than spending $500 on a Smith & Wesson made on an assembly-line in Mass., where the end-makers receive only a small portion of that money for their labor. Not too mention the amount of money that goes into the pockets of the investors. Fair work, fair pay, right? Well, in that case the investors get 95% of the profit and the workers get to split the remaining 5%.

Meanwhile, I spent the same cash and the maker, creator, designer, promoter, and investor are all the same guy.

Sure there are ways you can spend 12k that are less noble and more noble. You're still spending the money and in theory getting something for it. To be truly noble would be to just be philanthropic and donate the money you were going to spend elsewhere for less fortunate folks to get what they need. But I'm not actually buying this, "assembly lines and custom hand-made objects are equivalent" - They simply aren't, in quality, value, or investment.

I think you misunderstand. I'm not sure VDM is advocating giving a kid a Rolex for his graduation over say...a car. Nor am I sure he is advocating giving the kid a car...But there are two qualms with your scenario - 1) If the kid has a watch that keeps good time, he can catch the bus to work. 2) A nice watch like say a Rolex, isn't just a monetary investment. It's a social investment.

When VDM says, "Tool for the future." He isn't just talking about telling time. He's talking about how you can teach a young man the social value of a high quality object. And how you can use that social value to your advantage in life. Seriously, diamond rings are a complete social construct. But if you see a woman wearing a decent sized diamond on her hand - you can assess her social status. And things like that can elevate someone during a job interview. The innate biases of the system are set to work against new people. So finding a way to climb the ladder quickly is far more important than anything else. And I can tell you, as someone with a Timex AND a watch worth more than my first three cars cost, combined. It does make a difference. People notice nice things and elevate your social status in very important ways.

Put another way, I wear my Timex almost everyday, but when I go to schmooze University donors for a couple of hundred grand, I'm not wearing a Timex.

I'll add this and leave it. Point one, if you want to go the noble route, donate the money, don't tell anyone about it, and you've done something with nothing in return. We're agreed there, so nobility shouldn't come into the purchase equation. If you really want to be noble, then be noble. The "quality, value, or investment" portion of your post indicates you expect something in return, not primarily to help someone else. I keep philantropy separate from purchase decisions and don't attempt to equate the two for precisely this reason.

Second, if the kid has a Rolex and Patek on each arm along with diamond rings and other trappings of grandeur and a cheap suit, no interviewing/work skills, and has to rely on a bus to get to and from, are you really setting them up for success? No, you're teaching them to spend money on illusions of success, while foregoing the necessities. Pretend & shallow trumps reality. A cheap facade decorated with the trappings of success. As they say in the UK, "Fur coat and no knickers." Not a good life lesson (for those I care about). Also, if you "climb the ladder" with no substance, you will be discovered. A matter of time only. You can only carry superficial so far without detection. YMMV. Enough thread drift. Didn't realize my initial comment would spin into this. Apologies to all.

I do like the knives though.

Rob is correct in his explanation of what I posted.

Giving a young person a decent watch which they will have their entire lives is not only making an investment in that person but allowing them a step up in their social, financial and educational future.

You never inundate a kid with expensive items and expect them to live the life which would allow the purchase of those items, you teach them the proper way of conduct. We all went through the process of school, interviews, failure, etc. That's what we do in life, it's part of the lessons we learn.

I was taught very early on that if you are on time then you are late. For me, personally, having a quality time piece is not just a status symbol, it is of course, but it also means you have the ability and the responsibility to know what time it is and what time you need to be places. That is pretty important in life, is it not? Along with what Rob said, it really makes sense.

Take that same concept and transfer it to other items which you can need to depend on, especially those items which may save your life.

Of course there is a whole conversation which can be had about production, fair price, etc. I think we can all agree that we want to support those who support us as much as we can, right? The Warriors Way blades were brought into life with in specific goal in mind and made by those who want to see the best tools possible in the hands of those who use those tools to survive deadly confrontations. This is extremely important to consider.

The whole "buy local" thing the hippies do works well for communities like ours as we have a very specific niche and it really benefits everyone here in the long run to support these types of businesses.

He made that knife for me as a gift back in 2000 while my wife and I were visiting him and Christine up in Clancy.

I thought I was just watching him build the knife for a customer and when I spotted him putting the blue jigged bone covers on the knife I looked over at Rob and he just started laughing and handed it to me.

I have a couple other knives from Rob. One that we designed together and a Pikuni, like the one above in D2 with carbon fiber covers that he handed to me in a bar at the Blade Show.

Hardly a day goes by that I don't think of him and some of the great times we shared together. Gone too soon. Far too soon.

I took me a while to find your watermark, but I see it.

Reminds of looking for the Playboy cover bunny each month. :D

Nice photo and nice knife.

(ETA - maybe its not a watermark, but drawn into the stippling?)

Thanks! I have been trying to make it more and more obvious as people have emailed me asking where it is...

My grandfather's grandfather's knife when he jumped off the potato boat from the old country. Thanks to Ian Wendt for this most excellent restoration!

Pure daily carry perfection by Joe Watson. Absolute one of one custom HiTS Gamboa neck knife. SM100 super metal (total unobtainum). It is disturbingly sharp, super light, and very nimble. Joe totally knocked this out of the park.
