The left-wing "Refuse Fascism" group is using Nov. 4 as its kickoff for demonstrations in nearly two dozen U.S. cities, protests it says will continue "day after day and night after night ─ not stopping ─ until our DEMAND is met."

The "DEMAND" is the removal of President Trump and Vice President Pence.

The gatherings are being described as a kind of "Antifa apocalypse" on right-wing media, according to The Washington Post. Several sites are expressing particular alarm about the loosely-defined left-leaning group, which preaches a version of ferocious anti-government chaos that often uses "domestic terrorist violence," according to a recent FBI report.

Among the 20 cities where rallies are set to occur are Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle.

I don't think it will be anything outside maybe the East Coast, because they seem to have a larger anarchist element there.

My initial thought when looking at the list of cities was, "They're going to poop where they eat." Nothing like bringing the violence to the people who most strongly support their cause.

On the other hand, if the violence is tolerated rather than responded to appropriately by the powers that be in those cities, the longer-term effect will be to further accelerate the exit of non-Leftists from those areas. (The effect will be identical to passing more gun control laws, but without the risk of short-term electoral backlash.) Which in a representative democracy, will further cement the power of the entrenched political machines. If enough stuff is destroyed, it may even significantly increase the numbers of poor people who require assistance from the government, since everything they've worked for is gone.

This will be interesting to watch. Especially in Austin, if they are actually dumb enough to jihad in Texas.

Should be interesting.... we're on the list. And the locals now have something to lose their minds about. Our Police Commission voted tonight by a razor thin margin to approve the use of tasers as a force option....of course, not for another 13 months at least. The juvenile insanity spewed by some of the people who showed up to urge the commission to vote 'no' isn't going away, and at least 90% were members of the local chapter of "Democratic Socialists of America". According to them, we just declared open war on minority youth and the homeless. So we got that going for us, I guess....
