The LGS had a used Bergara B-14 BMP in 6.5CM, selling it on consignment at a deep discount. Looked brand new; the owner said that the guy who brought it in said it didn't shoot. He tried telling the guy that the weaver rail on the receiver was loose, but the guy wanted to sell it. The owner had torqued down the screws and Loctited them, so I picked it up and took it to the range. No problem with the accuracy; under .5 MOA at 200 with factory ammo, but it wouldn't reliably extract and eject spent casings. I called Bergara from the range and they emailed me a call tag even though I wasn't the original owner. 9 days later the rifle came back with a new extractor spring and ejector; works perfectly now.

Nice. It's astounding how quickly they are establishing a foothold in the market.

I'm very interested in their rifles in 308 and 6.5.
How is the barrel/action, easy to swap barrels if desired?

Specs here:

Mine has very good action and trigger. No idea about easy barrel swap, but:

I'm mainly aware of them via their Encore barrels (those are supposedly good too). It sounds like the complete rifles are G2G, is that an accurate assessment?

My Bergara HMR 6.5 CM should be here tomorrow if not delayed by the various storms. Really looking forward to trying out. Have the base, rings, scope, and AAC mount sitting on the bench waiting!

I am seeing quite a few of these pop up at the range and the initial accuracy reports are very good. The HMR is priced around $850 which is a fantastic deal for what you are getting. The actions use the Remington 700 footprint which broadens the amount of aftermarket support for them.

I'm waiting for them to come out with one in 5.56 with a 1:8 or 1:7 twist to stabilize the 70-90 grain bullets.
