In the Bugout/In thread, (https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?27565-Hurricane-bug-out-in-lessons) Tom_Jones posted

FWIW (and I'm hesitant to post this because it feels douchy), PF is Mountain House (https://www.mountainhouse.com/) affiliate -- if you click that link and then buy some stuff, PF will get a small commission.
Are there others, besides Brownells and Amazon?

There are. The Brownells (http://brownells.com) and Mountain House (https://www.mountainhouse.com/) affiliate programs are provided through Avantlink (http://avantlink.com/).

Previously we used Skimlinks to to automatically get affiliate relationships with several thousand different online retailers. Unfortunately, there was an issue with a certain merchant through Skimlinks and based upon the less than adequate service I received, I decided to no longer do business with them. That's when PF became an Amazon Affiliate directly. Since Brownells was the second largest source of affiliate revenue for us, I looked to setup a similar direct relationship with them; however, they don't have a direct program. That's when we signed up with Avantlink.
I believe I remember that now.

With Avantlink you have to request to join, and be approved by, each retailer and it isn't completely automatic like Skimlinks was. I signed up for several -- and was declined by a few. Cabelas (http://www.cabelas.com/) is one. Silencerco (https://silencerco.com/) is another. I'd need to look up the others.
Cool. It would be nice to know, if I'm going to be spending money someplace, that it would help out here if I get there, from here. So to speak.

...maybe a thread with links to affiliated companies beneficial to PF...?

Just for reference, not to post in.

It's been suggested, but I need to check with the terms of use/acceptable use policies. Some places, like Amazon, will terminate your account if you encourage people to click on links and buy stuff. They obviously want people to click on links and buy stuff, they just don't want people to do it because you told them it would benefit you.

That's true, didn't think of that.
