Could someone suggest a concealable OWB holster for a Glock 17? I'm okay with leather or kydex but I'm leaning toward kydex. 3-3:30 preferably.

I've used a Raven Phantom with pancake wings for a 19 successfully in the past. I'm not sure if the 17 would work as well in that set up or not.

I use the Safariland GLS (https://www.amazon.com/Safariland-579-Profit-Holster-579-83-551/dp/B015EXP9OO/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1504627335&sr=1-2&keywords=safariland+gls+glock). Cheap, well made, company stands behind it, retention with fast draw.

How close to the body do these hold the pistol? What's the ride height like?

I run the Raven with many light-bearing pistols. No problems.

JM OWB 2.0 is excellent. I wear it 90% of the time I'm at work (non-uniformed LE work).

Fairly close, about a mid ride. I can take a picture later if you like.

JM or darkstargear. Both are good to go owb/non rentention concealment holsters I'd run. I have a dsg, two actually, they work really well if you need that particular setup.

For real OWB concealment with a full size pistol, it's hard to beat the Mitch Rosen 5JR. I use them with both 17/19 and SIG P226/228/239. I've never found better for pulling the butt of a full size pistol tight to the body.

Following. All the OWBs I've tried don't curve enough and the belt loops push out too far from my body

The ones I like are:
1. Kramer Vertical Scabbard
2. Rusty Sherrick (I don't recall the model)
3. JMCK
4. Fricke Gideon Elite

I have two. Great holsters. Carrying a 3913 Smith and Sig P228 in them was a pleasure.

For inexpensive, quick-shipping OWB holsters, the Crossbreed SnapSlide works fine for me. I have several and they've held up well for years.

I'm going to try one of these. My ALS for 1911 gets a little busy around the release with the safety so close.

The Kramer belt scabbard (canted) does a great job for me at concealing full-sized pistols at around 4 o'clock. I've heard good things about the Kramer vertical scabbard that Sherman A. House DDS mentioned, but 3 o'clock/vertical does not conceal for me at all.

I like the Lobo gunleather enhanced pancake. I can hide glocks, sigs and full size revolvers (the biggest being a 4 inch N frame) under just a t-shirt. The way the belt tunnels work it pulls the holster tight to the body.

I love it, very nice for when you're working outside. I cannot wrench the weapon out of the holster without hitting the tab/button, I have tried with all of my strength.

I need to get me a nicer OWB someday, I reckon. Maybe for BBQs at Frog's Deep

Any issues with the Express line? I like the ship time.

I have one for a 229 and it doesn't conceal very well with my body type. It's a great range and IDPA holster. I like it a lot.

I have a couple of expresses for Glocks and they are very serviceable! You might check Dillion because their Dillon Leather is actually Rosen Express. Dillon tends to have Glock leather in stock so it's worth a try.

My Mitch Rosen Express "Upper Limit" has had zero issues. Looking at it, it seems hard to understand why they are as inexpensive as they are.

At any rate, I like my sample of one and would not hesitate to buy another MR Express product.

Aker XR-12/13 Flatsider leather, OWB holsters. Still got mine after nearly 16 years of use for G-17. When the former USCS granted off duty carry authority to customs inspectors back in 2000, Aker was selected as one of the approved holsters for the issued G17. Always noted the Aker has a slightly more aggressive forward cant than other holster makers. Really pulls the long butt of a G17 high & tight to the body.

John Ralston at 5 Shot Leather made me this CP for my G17 and it has proven to be the most concealable OWB I have used thus far.

Any of the "flat back" style OWB holsters from Rosen, Aker, Galco, or El Paso Saddlery should work fine.

Re the GLS: Safariland makes a pancake style holster with the GLS retention, the model 537, which conceals much better than the model LL linked to.

Or the UPL. It's hard not to like almost anything Mitch makes.

I have a MR UPL for my P30SK. It is an excellent high riding OWB holster that fits right in my Appendix area.

Lately I've been wondering if it would work for a G19, actually.

That's how I use mine. As an owb appendix holster for my Sig 239.

You put a 239 in a MR Upper Limit?

Cool.

I use a JRC SSA for strong side owb at 230 or 3. I have also tried a Raven Phantom, Rosen UPL, Milt Sparks 55BN, and Dale Fricke Gideon.

If you need more info. Let me know.

You may want to look at the ClingOn belt slide holster made by forum supporter Rich at Custom Carry Concepts...I have 3 of them....for Glocks, Sig P320 and HK P2000. The pistol rides high and snug....great concealment holster, IMHO.

I'll supplement this by recommending the 537 GLS.

SouthNarc did a review on it and the pictures he had showed it hugging very tight to the body and disappearing under an overshirt.
