Gen 3 G19, RM06. As you can see and I verified with video some ejected brass is striking the RMR. Is their a fix for this? I know it has a lifetime warranty but I would like to stop it if possible.

I believe this is also why some people recommend running their rear iron sight in front of the RMR.

Check out LL's sticky (the third one) on this part of the forum.

Step by step guide to attack the problem.

I contacted Glock before posting here and they suggested I replace the recoil spring. It has around 8k rounds on it.

Step four of the aforementioned sticky.

I put the ejector in my Gen 3 and it seemed to help quite a bit.

Don't change a thing, the optic is protecting your face. Glock humor.

Well, Glock RSAs (3rd Gen and earlier) are supposed to be swapped every 3K rounds - so you've almost tripled that. It MIGHT help with what you're seeing. If not, then I'd make sure you have the latest ejector. If that doesn't do it, then I'd go the HRED route.

SO, I ordered this http://glockparts.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=126833 and they told me I would also need this http://glockparts.com/Search.aspx?TERM=SP02714 I have not gotten them in yet to take a look but I'm confused why I needed the bearing. Anyone have any explanation? Am I missing something?

I don't see why you would need it if the other part already comes with a bearing.

The H.R.E.D. Installs in the opposite direction of the OEM plunger. So it appears to me there will be stainless steel contacting the slide cover plate because there is no place for the bearing to insert into the plunger. I guess I'm going to have to call White Sound to get educated on this a little more before install and depend on this. Unless LittleLebowski or someone else can shed some light on it for me.

The issue of brass striking the RMR occurred at least 1-2 out of 10 rounds. Put in the White Sound H.R.E.D. Extractor Plunger. Replaced the 336 ejector with a 30274 ejector. Replaced the OEM recoil spring. Polished the extractor. All as suggested in the LittleLebowski sticky 1 through 4. Shot 200 rounds a few days ago without a single strike. I'm going to call it fixed.

Thanks all.
