You can't make this stuff up:

ATLANTA, Georgia --
Police say a boy found a gun in a dressing room at an Atlanta mall and it fired when the mother pulled the trigger to see if it was real.

Sometimes lessons are best learned through embarrassing moments.

A P-F.com member commented a few years ago about checking his gun at an airline counter, and the airline agent pulling the trigger while pointing the gun into the crowd as a method of ensuring the gun was empty.

Too bad they didn't try for a Darwin award, and put it to their head first.
Ignorance can be educated, but you can't fix stupid.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that people who know nothing about guns (other than what they've seen in movies) don't know gun safety rules.

I don't know if Todd ever posted the story, but he confirms that it happened here:Yeah he told us that story at AFHF when I took it in 2011 (I think). IIRC he raised hell about it to the point of almost getting himself kicked out of the airport, which seems about right.
At dinner one night he also mentioned that a safety device for Glocks would be coming Soon [emoji41]

No, according to the story, it was a kid, who mistook his mother, for an adult.:p
