Thinking I'll give carrying at around 2:30 or 3:00ish a try. I can't seem to get anything further back, with more cant, to ride and conceal very well, plus I like not having to break my wrist as much on the draw.
So I'm looking at straight drop (or nearly so), probably kydex but doesn't have to be. Preference would be for 2 attachment points, but not too wide "wings". Needs to tuck the grip in tight. I've been looking at the PSS holsters or something in that vein, but open to suggestions or ideas based on what's worked for others.

Definitely the frontrunner right now, plus I don't have a decent OWB holster so it could fill in there.
JV- any particular bladetech? I've played with a nano set to no cant to test this idea; it rides a little higher and isn't especially stable (works great canted though).
I came across this-

Too pricey for me and not sure if it's straight drop, but I like the way the front clip is done.

Not a fan of the metal clips for iwb. IMHO, an iwb needs to have either a channel or loops that open on the top side of the belt like traditional iwb loops. Clips that secure on the bottom side of the belt are unsatisfactory for many belts.

One of the most secure IWB's I own has a metal belt clip (Highnoon). I trust it more than I do most kydex loops.

IIRC the High Noon clips have a "J" shape that hooks up under the belt, and I'm sure is very secure. A lot of others are more just an "L" that doesn't come up behind the belt. I've found the latter to not work well with my Wilderness belt.
So basically you're both right.

I'll toss in a second vote for Blade-Tech, FWIW.
The UCH is good if you need something that is tuckable:

It is fully adjustable for FBI Cant or Straight Drop, allowing for the shirt to be tucked into the pants, completely concealing the firearm and holster.
