so this actually IS the much vaunted FBI mag release? Just want to confirm.

I don't have a vickers so no frame of reference but I've seen people say they have identical dimensions but the FBI has more aggressive texture.

The Vickers release that I have is nothing like the OEM/Glock Extended Gen4 release. The Vickers has a big hump in the middle, the Glock does not.

JV, have you (or anyone else here) used the OEM extended release? If so, thoughts? I'm quite happy with the Vickers part, just curious.

I have both, and I prefer the Glock part. Both do the job just fine, it's a simply a personal preference. Part of my preference is guided by my dissatisfaction with the Vickers slide release (http://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?5521-G19-FTFeed-first-round-of-slidelock-reload&p=94075&viewfull=1#post94075).

All of my Gen4 Glocks have the OEM extended release
