A man pumping gas Wednesday morning turned the tables on a would-be robber.

Police say the man was at the Phillips 66 station at 4500 North Broadway at about 7 a.m. A dark-colored car pulled up and a man jumped out of the passenger seat. He tried to rob the victim.

I imagine that there will be some ribbing when the perp is carted off to jail.

Taint stabbing is a viable targeting doctrine. We wouldn't taint shooting be a viable targeting doctrine?

I've still not heard or - nor seen tale of - anyone who wanted to get shot - anywhere up to and including the buttocks. But you know what Forrest Gump said, "They told me that getting shot in the buttocks was a million dollar wound. The Army must keep that money, 'cause I ain't ever seen none of it."

Maybe the perp didn't catch the last part of Private Gump's quote, and just thought getting shot in the ass means getting rich?

Even in paintball we learned to always wear at least a soft cup. The story about the dude with the grotesquely swollen fruit-sized testicle made an impression on us youngsters back in the day. If you play long enough you will eventually get hit in every square inch of your body, so it is good planning to protect the bits you don't want shot.
