Here's an Oregonian article about a vet who took photos of his unit (25th division) through 1968 -69. No gore in these, just lots of photos of daily life, a portraits of soldiers. The full screen slide show is pretty neat; the photos were shot on tri-x and slide film. (I was born in '75, but I know we've got some members that served in that conflict).


After a few months on the war's front lines, one of his commanders learned that he had experience as a photographer, and he was reassigned to shoot morale-boosting photos for use by the Army and in U.S. newspapers.

From 1968 to '69, Haughey shot more than 2,000 black-and-white and color photos of the 25th Infantry Division, capturing the gritty conditions that soldiers faced, as well as the human drama of the Vietnam War as it escalated.
