ISIS Tells Jihadists To Attack U.S. Gun Store Owners As Way To Acquire Firearms

ISIS is suggesting its jihadists attack gun shop owners who are closing their businesses at the end of the day as a means of acquiring firearms.

According to the latest issue of ISIS’ Rumiyah magazine, PJ Media reported, the terror organization discussed different ways jihadists could get firearms in the United States and Europe.

"The ISIS piece then suggests another method of smash-and-grab robbery by driving a car into a gun shop after business hours."
“Alternatively, after some simple reconnaissance, one could follow the shop owner after he’s closed for the day, ambush him or run him over with a vehicle, and then take his keys in order to gain access to the store’s arsenal and any other location where he might be storing firearms and ammunition,”

"The piece adds, a “faint-hearted kafir shop owner in the West” can “be taken by surprise if one takes the means available to him and plans his attack carefully.”"

Thanks, H. I'm sure that my LGS, (co-owned by at least one sworn deputy), will have willing friends and volunteers to provide security as necessary.

Interesting. There have been multiple break-ins at gun stores in the Atlanta region. MO seems to be to steal a truck, drive it through the front of the building, grab as much as you can, then get away as fast as possible.

Per my ATF contacts, while gunstore robberies remain unusual for obvious reasons, gun store burglaries have been on the rise for the past few years.

"Smash and grab" with vehicles was the trend. Now that many gun stores are placing vehicle barriers in front they are seeking more burglars cutting through the roof knowing they will set off the alarm and grabbing what ever they can in 2 or 3 minutes.

That's cute but the fact is there are plenty of Jihadi wannbe's who act on what they read in Rumiyah magazine, the recent wave of truck / vehicle attacks being a prime example.

Your gif is how most gunstore folks see themselves but given the contents of PF's own "Bad Gunstore Advice" thread it is not reality.

This should really serve as a wake up call (in several ways). The non gun owning public will unfortunately remain clueless and call for greater restrictions.

Makes sense. They want to steal guns. We make it harder for them by making guns unavailable.

They want to kill us. We get the jump on them by killing ourselves (or at least making it easier for them to do so).

Perfectly logical.

/sarcasm (shouldn't be necessary)

I can think of two stores here which would be also be equally tough targets for robbery but unfortunately they are the exception.

One incident and our gun stores would become exponentially harder targets.

I don't know guys. Who is more likely to kill me while a gun shop robbery is going on: employees, customers, or jihadis?

Bacon grease based external paint and window film, explosive pig blood canisters wired into the motion detectors, and exterior signs "Porcine Protected"... that oughtta cover it.

Consider the possibility that this causes it prohibitively expensive to insure a gun store...

Here's a good example of what they could get in 2 minutes -- from Maryland.

This happened to shop local to me a few years ago. It has since been sold and the new owners have improved things. Of the three pretty nice local shops, they all seem like they would be pretty difficult to break into via vehicle. Two of them would be hard targets indeed, with brick walls, high roofs, and one is built on a high concrete foundation with stairs leading up. I'm sure committed thieves could find a way though.

But why steal them at all? Didn't former president Obama say that Glocks were easier to get than books? Doesn't the gunshow loophole mean that they can scoop up as many full auto AK-16's as they want for a few dollars?

They can just get them from the government by applying for a grant from Fast & Furious

Some stores take everything out of the display cases and place it in heavy safes at the end of the day. Unfortunately, it's all becoming part of doing business.
