On this day, in 1775, the United States Frigate Mayonnaise sailed from it's home port in Bacon Island California, on a diplomatic mission to the Barbecue Coast to negotiate a treaty with House Atreides for the exclusive rights to export pumpkin spice, when it was intercepted and attacked by the Spanish Armada, embroiling the two nations in the costly Crimea River War.
The battle began when Capitan Christopher T. Columbus outmaneuvered the hapless US vessel and sandwiched it between the Nina and the Pinta while covering them with a spread of shots from his flagship the Miracle Whip. He gave the order to fire by shouting those now infamous words- "Sinka De Mayo!"
