This has probably been thought of before but I thought sense Mr. Wilson seems to frequent this forum... It seems that Wilson and Tripp seem to have unlocked the secrets of 10 round mags for the 1911 9mm/.38 super, I have several ETMs for my Colt super that work great. How about an extended mag, much like the 10 round .45 mags, for the 9mm/.38 super? We could see 13-15 rounds? I'd buy a couple...

Just a thought..

Good question. I was wondering the same thing the other day. Wish I had some insight.

I believe the problem is the taper of the 9mm round in a single column tube. When you get a lot of them lined up on top of each other, you get a lot of nose dive.

There was an off brand of 15 shot Super magazine.
Never saw one for 9mm P, likely because of the taper as JTQ says.
Although if you look closely at that ETM 10x9mm, you can see that the flute that centers the 9mms in line with the feed ramp is toward the front of the magazine, the rear is full width so the case heads set out to alternate sides in a very slight stagger. You might could apply that to an extended magazine to get in a few more shots.

I would just like to have an 11 shot 9mm so I would not have to Barney to LAMR for IDPA ESP and USPSA SS.
