2 new Arsenal AKs coming out. 1 less expensive, 1 very expensive - http://www.ammoland.com/2017/01/two-new-exciting-models-arsenal-2017/

Any concerns with polymer on the less expensive model or non-issue?

Just got a second SAM7SF. I Need that SAM7SFK. If I buy a black rifle this year, that will be it.

Pardon the derpy question, but are left-hand muzzle threads the opposite of what we're used to?

Yes. Most U.S. muzzle threads are right handed

The polymer k-var furniture is the nicest "stock" ak furniture out there.

The 14x1mm threads also give you a lot more options for flash hiders compared to the ak-74 style 24x1.5mm threads.

The area with the optics mount, sling loop, selector switch, extended receiver, looks like a four way train wreck on the SAM7SFK, sadly.

I have been wanting a basic, simple, 7.62x39 for ages but did not like the quality of the Century options I checked out. The budget Arsenal is a WILL-buy for me.

What is different between the lower end one and the 107 folder out now aside from the stock?

Not in my experience with a couple of them. Works great with a Vickers sling, and RA Regulate mount and the safety is fairly easy to use once you figure out it runs a different direction from how many people are used to them...unless they have Galil experience. I am happier with the SAM7SF than any other AK based gun.

Which specific mount and optic combination do you use to clear the rear sight on the SAM7SFK?

Sorry.....forgot the picture. I think RS can do a mount if something like this does not work.

Just email Scot from RS Regulate. Super guy to deal with. I suspect you'd need the rear bias mount and either a Micro or MRO.

One of these makes swapping slings much easier.

I'm surprised that will fit between both the rear iron sight and the dust cover hinge.

How do you get it to slide past the rear iron right? The RS mounts I've used in the past have always slid on from the rear like conventional Russian mounts.

Have they changed how the attachment system works?

The 107R is a nice option to see on the market. Maybe even get to $800 street price?

Figured they just do a rear bias to put it right behind the rear sight that is basically the opposite of the front bias I am using. They make both now.

I like the 107R with the black furniture.

I d love to see what the rear sight looks like with the SAM7 SBR. With a good useable sight, it may be great as a simple iron sight gun.

I forgot the history of arsenal aks but is this a re-release? I'm assuming the only difference between this is the original slr-107 they offered is the that this has a fixed stock vs. Original that had a folding?

I like the looks and price of that SLR. I sold my SGL21 a couple years ago as it was sitting in the safe collecting dust. It was the nicest AK I'd ever handled, smooth, and accurate. I liked it was Russian too. An SLR may be a nice replacement.

That SAM7 though... Sexy. Do want.

Man that sbr is slick. Not sure I want to wait for the nfa stamp though. At least with my ar I could build the pistol first.

Does the rear sight have its own charging handle? What's that knob do?

Looks like it's to flip sight from long to short range.

Knob flips sight from aperture to square notch. If you are running a T1 on an Ultimak Rail the notch is in the way less. I use the aperture when an optic is not mounted.
