Won't be there this year...Thanks Trump!

Most Glocks will be compensated, you'll see a bunch of Roland specials.

Smaller reflex optics, maybe like the rmr probably on glocks.

Bunch of modified 43's and other smaller guns with all the crazy mods done to them.

Mlok, keymod, picmod, etc....

More aggressive looking foot wear, more like the Salomon assault shoe...Also a movement towards combat fitness, like 5.11 is doing.

Multicam is gana make a come back.

5000 suppressor companies and only a few that are worth looking at.

Police specific equipment, for ARs for Glocks, more 1-6 optics that are cheaper, etc...

Maybe a few new holsters...

2) The gadget is finally available, but all the people who wanted one already have one.

The Gadget will be ITAR approved or someone will have an empty bottle of rye chucked at their head from an erratically driven rental car on the strip on about day three.

Ruger will release some totally dope new wheelies... with roots dating back to 1979.

Somebody will release a 1911... with roots dating back prior to 1911.

Glock won't release shit.

They're burning down the factory now that the great panic buy has ended?

Ok, now predictions:

1-Glock will bring 17/19M's but no one will be allowed to touch them because the slides might fall off
2-Hi-Point will have optic and suppressor ready models
3-BOGO on hookers because the panic buy is over and industry reps will have smaller expense accounts
4-More "lifestyle" products.

2. Sig P320 in 10mm
3. Sig Legion P227
4. Glock 17M/19M available for fondling, but not released to public until a dept sells them off for current issues.
5. Glock Gen5 offerings?
6. More "tacticool" BS for operator wanna-be's expecting it to help improve their 10-inch grouping at 5 yards.

Aimpoint compact pistol red dot
HK VP9 in three frame sizes like glock
Salomon shoes in wide sizes
BCM AR in 7.62 , not a precision rig, but a lightweight M4 style hammer

I saw that thread over on the pro forum. The author by all accounts seems fairly well-connected to HK. I haven't seen any additional info other than what he said, but there sure was a lot of gnashing of teeth and rendering of garments following that post.

A prototype semi-auto handgun built from the ground up with non-reciprocating outside pieces parts and provision for optics.

Mini red dots for pistols.

1) More AR-15s
2) More 1911's
3) Ruger will continue to introduce revolvers that I don't really need, but really want anyway.
4) Henry will continue to make beautiful lever actions that I would buy in a heartbeat, except they don't have a damn loading gate.
5) Henry will introduce single shot rifles and shotguns that I don't really need, but will really want anyway.
6) No Glock carbine.

Master of the obvious predictions:

Every manufacturer will have a RDS ready pistol.

Lots of new RDSs will be introduced, with no commonality in mounting format. This will yield even more adapter plates and confusion.

Savage will introduce a side charging AR.

Mega Arms will tease the SF-MATEN even more.

Sig will introduce some cool rifles, accessories and suppressors, which will be unavailable until next fall. The MPX in 308 will be available no earlier than 2018. In the fall.

Several companies will hint at integrally suppressed pistols.

Someone will introduce a practical suppressed pistol holster.

A fixed RDS mounted on an integrally suppressed pistol will be the killer app. I hope someone introduces that. My hopes are not high.

Lots of bolt-gun chassis will be introduced for existing actions. Looking to get a slice of the Ruger RPR pie.

Everyone will chamber their bolt guns on 6.5 Creedmoor, but will be unable to keep them in stock.

None of the above bolt guns will take common AR-10 magazines. All will require proprietary/expensive magazines. Sigh.

These were SHOT predictions. By January 17-20, everyone who has ordered one will have it. That will bring the percentage way up.

Even those of us that were really late in joining the effort?

I'm not connected enough to offer predictions.

I would like to see some ruggedized, longer-lasting pistol red dots. Those and holsters to support them will be one of my focuses on the walk around.

Remington will have a drop box. You just drop your R-whatever abomination of a handgun you were conned into buying by the magazines into the drop box and they give you a gift certificate for the redesigned model R-whatever that will be released soon. It won't work either, but you can come back to the next SHOT show and repeat the process.

Along with the M&P 2.0 release S&W reveals that it has vastly improved its QC, tolerances, and accuracy of its 9mm pistols. The improvement came by purchasing a state of the art manufacturing facility from Taurus that uses the latest processes. They hired guys in the forests of Brazil with hand files to manufacture all their pistols.

Sig finally releases a 9mm commander.

Springfield armory releases a custom shop version of the XD 2.0 series. Now with pew pew zone. They also grip zone the shit out of a Robbie Latham bobble head.

Glock doesn't release anything new and refuses to acknowledge the 19/17m and everyone is pissed.

HK doesn't attend shot because you suck.

Magpul release p-mags for the Glock 43 and they are freaking awesome.

You know that Brown is a gun guy? Shoots a SCAR - http://www.armoryblog.com/news/alton-brown-the-gun-enthusiast/

I picked up this when watching his show and he was hunting for mushrooms and cut them out of the ground with a stainless Sypderco. Went on a motorcycle trip and ate sausages with big old tactical folder and said: Don't do this at home.

Maybe he will introduce Extra Virgin Fireclean.

Colt will have new pistol offerings on display, including one or two Commanders. Probably.

Outside chance they will introduce a new double action revolver. It's been hinted at by Colt insiders but I still consider it a long shot. If they do introduce one, chances are it will be heavily criticized no matter what because if they make it affordable it won't stack up against the Python and if it stacks up against the Python it won't be affordable to most folks. Not that it matters too much to me since I no longer own/shoot revolvers.

More "Punisher" themed nonsense.

More items with Kryptek patterns on pretty much everything, to include pants that cost more than $100, and don't actually camouflage anybody any better than WWII era Marine Corp camo uniforms, or surplus German Flectarn pattern items.

More "Custom" Glocks, with holes and goofy patterns milled into the slides, that pretty much do nothing more than a regular Glock with a trigger job, but all the Flat Brim hat wearing douches, with their chic sunglasses to "HAVE to have it Bro!".

Maybe 5% of the guns will actually be new/interesting. The rest will be the same old stuff, with new window dressing.

At least 3 attendees will have a negligent discharge in their hotel room, and 2 out of 3 of those will panic and try to hide the hole by plugging it with toothpaste.

New wonder bullets with wiggles, flutes, exotic substances that still just make a hole in you, that sometimes works to stop an opponent.

Many handguns will be the ultimate concealed handgun stopper on the cover of gun magazines.
