I like carrying a Glock yet I'm not sure of the belly band carry of a safety-less SA pistol without good trigger coverage (not for me). Are there any small 9mm options, even smaller than then PX4 Compact, preferably with a decent trigger?

Thanks!

A P30sk is pretty close to Glock 26 size. Not sure if it is thin enough for belly band work tough. 239's are a little bigger but carry very flat. It's my choice for smart carry use.

PX4 Subcompact (no rotating barrel on that model & about a third smaller than the compact).

Why don't you just get a trigger guard cover and integrate it in a belly band?

When NYPD gets the NY2 trigger going if they approve the 43, maybe that's an option. I'm actually ,kind of, being serious.....to some degree.

^^^hell, why wait. If I can find it, I'll send my original 42/43 connector to any P-Fer that wants an 8.5-9lb pull...

This is my serious face.

The stock pull is that heavy?

^^^It was. The connector is one of the parts changes Glock has made along the way. IMHO, the original G42 trigger was alarmingly heavy; the current G43 trigger is the best stock Glock I've felt.

Have you considered the S&W 3953? DAO, no decocker warts. Stock trigger is reasonably smooth, but 10+ lb. Single stack 8 rounds, very slim and smooth overall, though you may want to knock some of the corners off the slide lock tab. Bigger and heavier than a G43, but reasonably described as combining many of the good features of a 1911, double-action S&W revolver, and G19.

I have carried at different times a Glock 26 and a 19 in a Smartcarry. Before I carried that way I inserted the gun and tried to pull the trigger. I was able to but it more effort than anything I have in my pants could perform. Maybe try it and see.

I wish I had "my holster doesn't work well better buy a new gun" money ;)

This was my issue living in the Florida heat, as I grew up on DA/SA guns. The HK P30sk V3 with Decocker and Safety was my best option in the end for everyday carry.

It's wider than a G26 but conceals very well and the ergonomics are outstanding.

ONE THIRD SMALLER????? Either you mistyped, or math is not your strong point.

I own both. The Subcompact is only very, very slightly smaller than the Compact. There is so little size difference that I don't see the point, really. There is no place that I could hide a Subcompact that I couldn't also hide a Compact.

The issue with these double-stack SA/DA pistols is really their thickness. Their length and height is fine.

A belly band and a Keepers Flex kydex shell are like peanut butter and jelly.

A third smaller is based on the visual impression of the overall size I got after seeing all three of the PX4 models laid out, in the show case at the Dallas Beretta store. In rough terms, each pistol appeared to me, to be about a third smaller than its next larger sized brother. Not going on anything scientific, just visual impressions. In any case, it's not something the OP has commented on so I'm guessing he has no interest in it anyway.
