Hey guys I did a short and sweet T&E on FrogLube and more or less wanted to pass it on here. I have become a big supporter of the product as well as a dealer (not doing online sales or a retailer) just available at my classes and if you run into me at a match, etc. If you are in the San Antonio area, you can give me a call/send me an email and I’ll give a sample to test if any of you would like.

This is the review, not the best but gives a good example of the product, enjoy.
FYI: Watchmen Training Group (WTG) has become the super distributer for FrogLube under the name (American FrogLube Distributors Ltd), if you are interested in becoming a dealer they can get you set up. The initial cost is reasonable and Travis Kelly is a good dude to work with. If you go that route, please let him know I sent you…

ETA: I do not gain anything from anyone contacting Travis Kelly, becoming a dealer or using me as a reference. I simply would like him to know that I sent him the business as more of a respect and helping him grow his own small business. Both of us being disabled veterans and all, but no underlining partnerships and or “special deals”, I pay the same cost as everyone else, etc.

I am still in my extended T&E session with the stuff. It's been about 9 months that I have been using it, and have not run into any issues with it. Is it totally ninja? No. But it is as good as most of the other stuff out there, and about the same price. Smells better than most though, and is non-toxic. Kind of nice.

I am very interested to read your feedback on it. Out of curiosity what other CLP’s would you consider comparable?

I am in the same boat. It works well as a CLP and I like the fact that it is non-toxic.
The rust protectant part I am still not sold on.

I would compare it to TW-25b if anything. It dries to a film, turns into a liquid with heat, and works well enough to get through a full load out of ammunition without burning off. Good enough for me. I have an M&P that was lubricated with FrogLube about 2500 rounds ago. Gun is filthy, sitting in the safe. I will shoot about 250 rounds through it next month, and see where it stands.
I only use FrogLube as a lube. For cleaning, it isn't very good. Simple Green does a much better job.
For rust protection, I use a rust preventative designed specifically to prevent rust.
It has been my experience that every product that is a "CLP" only does each of those tasks mediocre at best. I prefer to stick to items specifically designed for the task I am asking it to perform.

A friend of mine cleaned my Colt/Ruger hybrid with it, and I was pretty impressed with how well it worked. Plus my gun smelled awesome.

I don't consider any CLP as a true cleaner. If the gun is dirty I just add more CLP to the gun and go. It lubricates and loosens the goo which can be wiped off.
When you have to get the gun squeaky clean then I agree, Simple Green is great. I use it in my ultrasonic cleaner diluted with water.

I'm not totally sold on it's use on handguns (tried it and went back to Slide Glide), but on my M4's it's the shizzle. Gonna get some and use it over here in my M4 and some of the crew served and see how it does.

Are you guys using the paste or the liquid? I've read quite a few good reviews on the stuff but haven't used it myself.

I use the paste for cleaning, applying, etc, and the liquid for re-apply as needed on the range. The liquid is best used on the bore, and to put an extra touch up as needed. The paste is more for general cleaning, applying, etc.
I would say buy a two or three 5ml packs of paste and a 1oz bottle of the liquid to test out, or if you want to do a long test, do a 4oz kit of paste and liquid.

So, I finally just started testing froglube myself. I'm curious what people's results have been after 1-2 years now.
My very short experience is that it is wonderful in an M4 suppressed (extra dirty) but that it is similar to any other lube in handgun.

In my limited experience, lube is lube.
I have attended I don't know how many classes or discussions held by dudes who have Phd's in lubrication, and none have convinced me that there is some magical lubricant. I've had countless samples handed out from Phd's, auto mechanics, and the latest company making gun specific lubes. They all work. They all have their shortcomings. I have stopped wasting my time chasing rainbow colored unicorns that don't amount to anything more than a horse covered in spray paint.
For all practical purposes, lube is lube.
Even the uber taboo WD40 works fine for a period and the right purpose. It works great for hosing sand, dirt, and other various crap out of the gun that can get in the way of the gun operating properly. Of course, the lube doctors don't mention that. Probably because most of them have never tried firing 6,000 rounds in a day in an environment that filled their gun with sand. It's not my first choice, but it has a place in my gear.
Frog lube smells nice, is non-toxic, and doesn't cost any more than other stuff, so I use it.

I still use it, although I am no longer a dealer for it (not b/c of froglube but b/c my company is currently shutdown). I have one Carbine that has around 4500 rds through it without a strip down cleaning. I've only added some froglube and wiped down the bolt about every 750-1000 rds. No issues of rust, except for a screw on a Troy Alpha Rail, which has not been treated with Froglube. I would say the stuff is excellent, not that its night and day different from many other quality CLPs, but mainly b/c it last, and is non-toxic, etc.
I still recommend it.
However, I will say that SEAL 1, is the same product, in a different color/smell, but is cheaper in price.

Used it CONUS and OCONUS. Great stuff. I've got a BCM middy I don't clean and just add FrogLube to once or twice a year (whether it needs it or not).

And I don't need a well ventilated area for gun cleaning. Or get that look from the wife after cleaning guns at the kitchen table.

Regardless of lube used, there is still lead involved in cleaning guns. Best not to add that to your food chain. Just sayin.

Scott Reitz recommended Frog Lube, he did not recommend many products and he is very picky about the cleanliness of his gun.
I've FrogLube to have about zero effectiveness as a rust preventative.

Yeah, for rust prevention, I prefer to stick with rust preventing products. Not like my guns get rusty, cause I clean them so much.
I like to put one product on my guns. If I clean it and oil/grease it, I expect whatever I use to protect the metal for a reasonable amount of time.
I know, crazy of me. Pretty much any other gun lube is a rust preventing product, so.....

I'd venture to say there are more than a few people who would disagree with that statement.
Use what you want. I ain't the lube police.....
CLP's all suck compared to performance specific products.

Oh, there is no mixing with foodstuffs.....proper protocols are used. Just talking about stinking up the area with spray solvents.
That is why my eye twitches when folks talk about cleaning their Glocks in the dishwasher.
