Definitely subsonic rounds at about 35 yards. Suckers hit hard for the amount of powder behind them, I know that has a lot to do with the bullet shape. I started off with 10.0 grains of Titegroup and backed it down to 9.9 grains after one out of six rounds went supersonic out of my Knights SR-30. I bought these bullets and a bunch of their 9mm 125s, pretty happy with them.

Curious, what is your projected use for subsonic 300 BLK? Hunting, varmint control, fun, etc... ?

Fun, mainly for these bullets. Now, the Outlate State expanding subsonic bullets (http://outlawstatebullets.com/2.html) are piquing my interest for short range hunting.

LL, these are my concerns, dude. You're getting me interested in yet another caliber. I'd try these in .30 Herrett but I'm fairly certain the rifling is too slow.

Well, that's what you pay me for; to stay on top of all of this new shit. My .300Blk is yours to shoot if you ever come by the Kremlin (DC). Tom can't watch or he has to pay a hundred.

As long as nobody there tries to cut off my johnson, I'm in. In the meantime I'm headed to a cash machine to buy to buy some of these bullets.

Are these bullets suppressor safe?

Are these bullets suppressor safe?

Yup. I'll be shooting a bunch soon, and they will be through a suppressor exclusively.

Will these bullets foul a gas port after a few hundred, thousand?

I doubt it.

If loaded in such a manner as to not scrape the coating off during the reloading process you won't experience any fouling of the gas port or suppressor, if you are using one. They are a hard cast lead bullet with the Hi-TEK coating, a little more flare/bell and just enough crime to remove the flare/bell. We suggest 2.065" OAL as a starting point with 220gr bullets.

Great, I will have to get some of your bullets. I plan to start with CCI 400 primers and AA1680 as that is what I have. My 300 BO upper is scheduled to arrive Friday. Thanks, dsa.

My first order for 500 has shipped. Got all the other components. Will try out LLs recipe this weekend in my 16" later this week.

It's called cedar fever, it does it to everyone, and it is enough.

Received bullets. Loaded 10 formed from LC brass with CCI400 primers, 10.0 grains of Accurate 1680, seated to 2.07 OAL, factory crimped with LEE die. Strangely enough these loads worked flawlessly through my 16" with pistol length gas system. Locked the bolt back with 3 different gen 3 PMAGS. I was surprised that they did not even knock the paint off to the bare metal on my AR500 targets at 10 yards. Loading up 190 more today to play with and check velocity.
