Looking to finally upgrade from the simple carry strap. I've got a VTAC 2-point on another AR but have no strong preference between 2 point and single point. Uses are range and occasional carbine competition, possibly replacing shotgun as HD long gun in the future. I like the A2 stock. Thanks!

I drilled a hole in my last A1 stock and installed one of these. Ejection-port-side

When I used an A1 stock, I had something like this (I think Blue Force Gear makes these as well):

Looks like a good option for my uses and priced right, too. Thanks!

+1 for the VTac adapter. I use it on my shotgun - no complaints.

Blue Force Gear and Boonie Packer also make adapters.

As SteveB and BillSWPA have mentioned, with an A1/A2 or similar stock, I use the BlueForce Gear adapter and their sling.

We have 96 of these on our work shotguns with Vtac slings. They have been good to go.

I got to handle that Dissipator when it showed up to my buddies' shop, I really liked the way that QD socket was inlet into the stock, to the point that I'm still trying to talk him out of letting me have the stock if he changes up the furniture on that rifle.

Yeah, it worked out great for me.

I tried some of the various convoluted webbing solutions but they all moved, and put the sling attachment right where I didn't want it. As you know, I also put one on the handguard on the opposite side and the combination really worked great for me with a John McPhee SOB sling.
