Looking at trying appendix with the 43. John at JMCK recommended the 43 long with wedge and full guard. Just wanting to hear from those who have carried a pistol this small appendix. I ask because I've seen multiple threads where people say the smaller the pistol, the less comfortable for AIWB. What say you? Right now I have a milt sparks VM2 on order but appendix seems like it might be more comfortable.

Check out Dark Star for Tom's AIWB for the 43.

I have two from JMCK. A Universal clip and a tuckable. Both in "long" configuration with the foam wedge. They work well when a smaller gun is needed.

I've found the 43 to be sinfully comfortable AIWB. But so far all I have is the Mic trigger cover with lanyard wrapped around my belt. I've started calling my G43 the Succubus of pistols.
It wants to seduce me to do things I ought not; carry a 6/7 shot tiny gun as a primary. ;)

You don't have one of mine?!

Been extremely happy with my JM Universal. Tony is spot on with the Long, it definitely adds stability. Feels like carrying a thinner 19.

PM inbound.

It's okay, don't feel bad. I survived my living room with a J frame in a DSG clip on last night....I even walked the dog.

I carry a G43 in a Raven Morrigan with my homemade junk carry pillow. The added length of the Morrigan, plus the pillow make this a very comfortable rig.

I love mine! I had a DSG clip on for my old 42 which was great as well...

I use a closed loop holster from pj holster. Friend from LAPD SIS hooked me up with them. It carries very nice. I did a 12hr yard work day with it never felt it once. Work day included cutting down trees, taking old stuff to dump, moving furniture, painting, driving and putting up with mother-in-law. The rig was comfy through all of the stuff I did that day.

Another thumbs up for the Morrigan. Just got home after a three hour drive with the G43 in a Morrigan. I've worn it almost daily this year and it's comfortable.

I wore a Kahr PM9 AIWB in an Alessi talon so much I had to sell the pistol to keep from being dumb.

Here is how the JM Universal fits for me. It doesn't tuck as much as other holsters with tucking design features, but it works well for something like a 43. Don't mind the knife or tactical hunting Crocs.

Thanks for the replies fellas. After PM'ing with some of the guys I think I'm gonna search for a used lefty just to give it a try. I'd hate to wait 8-9 weeks and spend 100 bucks when I don't know if it will work with my body style.

Much appreciated offer! I haven't found anything yet...granted I've been too busy to look. If its not too much trouble for you I'll take you up on the offer. We can go to PM if you like.

Overly wordy PM sent. But forgot to ask if you want milquetoast black or a more interesting color. I think grey adds a nice contrast.

You guys just sold me on this rig. Had a telephone conversation with Tony @ JM (super great guy to chat with and awesome to chat with the dude that makes your holster upon ordering) and the long for quick AIWB is the way to go. He is going to make it with two bolts instead of one as I did not want to adjust the cant as it will be carried strictly Appendix.

Glad I can help! I don't say that as a dealer as we do not sell his products, I say it as a customer that pays full price for a fantastic product.

FWIW, I had zero issues with a G43 + JM Universal Long holster carried AIWB with the standard one bolt. In Rich's pic, you can see the loop velcro on the holster, and there is hook on the backside of the clip. It was rock solid. I've found just a smidgen of reverse cant to be more comfortable more often than not, so I like holsters that can be adjusted for both height and cant.
