GIFs uploading as JPEGs

Tom,

I looked around to see if this was addressed, but didn't see anything.

Whenever I try to upload a GIF it changes to a JPEG. Says GIF is supported, am I missing something? FWIW, I've tried in both Safari and Firefox.
