A cheaper way to reload for .300Blk for training & plinking?

Folks at ARF (http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_42/463541_Powder_Coated_300_BlackOut.html&page=1) have been working with hard cast and also Hi-Tek Supercoat (http://hi-performancebulletcoatings.com) bulletcoating treated lead bullets.

This coating stays on the bullet despite being hit by a hammer (http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag124/71metbu/DAVE-PC/Reloading/Powder%20Coating/20160521_151037_zpspaik9ckk.jpg) and keeps the suppressors from leading up. You do have to bell out the case mouth a bit more than you would for jacketed/plated bullets in order to avoid the case shaving the projectile but that's not a big deal.

Here's the bullets (http://palmettoprojectiles.com/products/300-blackout-projectiles) I'm considering for subsonic .300Blk casual use. $120 for 1000 bullets plus shipping. I'm going to order a sampler pack of these and just see what happens in true LL fashion :cool:

I'm expecting a stamp back for my .300 SBR any day now, and will finally delve into rifle reloading with a similar bullet (http://leatherheadbullets.com/30-cal-220-grn-rn-blackout-500-ct/). From talking with Dave at Leatherhead, that is one of the most popular bullets they make in any caliber, in part because it does so well for subsonic suppressed shooting without fouling. I'll be waiting on my can for a while yet, but it doesn't hurt to work up a good load in the mean time.

I am undergoing an ordeal simply getting my sampler pack from PalmettoProjectiles that I ordered on July 30th. On the contrast, an order from LeatherheadBullets (http://leatherheadbullets.com) placed one night shipped the next morning.

I was at the range over the weekend and a buddy of mine had his 300BO there shooting the Leatherhead coated bullets - game changer for him in cost versus heavy jacket bullets. I shot a magazine through his 300BO with suppressor with coated bullets - very nice.

Heard back from my friend. He did some projectiles, but they were from Leatherhead. He has not had a chance to load them yet, due to moving across the state, and still setting up his bench.

When he has load data and results, I will pass them along.
