KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Kansas City, Kan., police chief Terry Zeigler tweeted Tuesday at 2:20 p.m., that an officer had been shot near 22nd and Haskell.

Zeigler said the officer’s condition is unknown but encouraged people to “start prayers.”

Kansas City, Kan. police later said the officer was listed in critical condition. Police reported one suspect was in custody, and they are currently searching for another.

Seems like it was the end of a chase, they bailed (leaving their driver who got busted), he cornered them in his squad car, he got out, they shot him.
