Sorry if this is supposed to be known. But what happened to modern service weapons? Hilton has not posted in a long time, and it has kind of died off.

Last time I checked, all of Hilton's articles had been taken off the site.

They've been gone for a while. They appear to have been removed sometime between 2015-06-21 (https://web.archive.org/web/20150621160316/http://modernserviceweapons.com/?author=2) and 2015-11-22 (https://web.archive.org/web/20151122114638/http://modernserviceweapons.com/?author=2) (according to the Wayback Machine (https://web.archive.org/)).

That is another thing. Why were they removed. I liked reading some of his articles and insight. I know some dudes do not like his 1911 thoughts but they seemed to be pretty spot on

My guess, which is 100% speculation and just as likely (if not more so) to be wrong as right: yet another bad internet breakup.

My thought was that perhaps his internet job was conflicting with his real job, or that someone in his chain of command told him that it was.
