Yeah, 99.9% that it does not have a trigger job. One, we have never sold any guns to Cabela's. Two, $999 is MAP pricing, so cheap for a gun with a trigger job. So unless it is a used gun, it does not have a trigger job.
Hope this helps!
Interesting that you state that Cabelas hadn't purchased any of your LTT Elites. The Cabelas near me has had one on display, new, for $999 for at least a couple of months!

I took his comment as Cabelas has not bought any Elite LTT's with a trigger job. Dealers can get the "regular" Elite LTT without going direct to LTT.

Yes, I am sure they have bought them from Beretta, they have not bought them from us.

Maybe Beretta didn't want the product to be "leaked" until it's ready.

I don’t understand how marketing works, but to me it would help generate more interest. Maybe they don’t want it competing with the 92x compact? Because the 92x is making it hard to keep waiting for a new compact. But a picture of a prototype is good to help us keep the faith. I remember seeing basically what ended up becoming the full size, on IG months before release.

This is exactly why they don't want the photo released. You are tempted to buy a gun that they already have on the market, but want to wait for the next thing. Releasing info of a product that is coming too soon often cannibalizes your own sales to the same customers. I am not going to buy this product now because I know the new one is coming in a month. Then your sales are dead for a month.
Here is a clue, anyone with decent photoshop skills could take the picture of the full size and make it look like the compact and centurion models.

I purchased one of Mr. Langdon's 92s, splurged and got the "best of the best" ... it is truly the ultimate in Beretta 92 shooting!
Mr. Langdon, now that ROBAR is out of business, apparently, with whom are you partnering to do the finishing work?
compact and centurion models.
The word "and" is going to be exciting for a number of folks here.
Ernest, did the Langdon M9 not do well? I know it was intended as a tide me over pistol, but seems like nobody but me bought one. Or it just wasnt well received. Huge value model I think.
Love my Elite too, but seems the M9 is forgotten.

I have posted this before, but I also know that people do not read everything. I know I don't!
ROBAR does not do NP3, Coating Technologies does NP3. ROBAR is the place where you can send your gun in and have it NP3. CTI will not turn a single screw on a gun for finish work.
We, Langdon Tactical, have been going direct to CTI for about two years to get NP3 put on our guns and projects.
CTI is not in jeopardy of going out of business and ROBAR going out of business does not affect our ability to do NP3 in any way.

Yes, I missed that, thanks.
And I'm glad to hear Mr. Langdon has a reliable vendor he can and will continue to use.
I have purchased several handguns from Mr. Langdon and the buying experience has been absolutely a delight. His wife is a real gem.
God bless them both.

Wait, how did that slip past me. Compact AND Centurion?? Oh, boy. It's going to really be an expensive year. The PX4 just got bumped to 3rd on my list of priorities.
My Langdon M9 begs to differ, but I thought the M9 was only a limited run item. I have thought about sending it into Mr. Langdon to have him message it a little. The LTT Elite is a pistol that really spoiled me, I look at all my other pistols differently now. If the LTT elite is out of your price range, I think the M9 would be a great way to go. I have both so I didn't choose. One day I will have a LTT done PX4. I was finally able to shoot one, and I am quite impressed with even the stock version. Thinking about it, Beretta owes at least 50% of my spending on their products to Mr. Langdon.

I also have both. The Langdon M9 is my carry gun, the Elite is my competitive pistol. My thoughts are similar to yours on the M9. Just seems it gets little mention for the first 92 with Langdon in the name.

It never really got promoted at all. I don't even think it is still being built. It was a great value and a damn nice shooting gun. Too bad it did not really get any traction.

I thought it was a Bud's exclusive? That would certainly seem to me to make it a limited run, by design.
I'd actually ordered one of those Langdon Limiteds when I saw the thread posted on this board. The delay after the projected ship dates ended up being too long for me to put up with and I cancelled.
It all turned out for the better. I certainly would rather have an LTT 92 Compact, or Centurion.

Seems Aaron with Sage Dynamics really likes the Elite, for what it is worth. I never thought I would see a DA/SA gun on his channel and come to find out he loves the Beretta M9/92 series.

I was on the fence about this gun after fondling one at a LGS.
Then the Beretta rep showed up, let me try one for free live fire.
Let's start this off by saying I already own a 92F and am a fan of the 92 design, but it just wasn't my go-to. Yes, it's accurate and reliable, and I shoot it well, bit I also shoot a M&P well...and both better than a Glock.
Then I tried this gun. When they say they paid attention to the little things when they made this gun...I believe it. Now, a full size 9mm is by no means hard to control, but with 124gr American Eagle the gun had zero "hot spots" when shooting. It tracks in a very predictable fashion. And what's more, the accuracy was outstanding. Almost unbelievable.
And because the rep was there, they had it on sale for 100 bucks less.
So yeah now I'm consigning my last Glock tomorrow, a G19 which I got cut for a RMR.
TL;DR It's really really good. And this is from a die hard 1911 guy.

I was lucky to get one of the Langdon M9 pistols from Buds, and it helped open me up to the potential of the Beretta 92/M9 system. In many ways, it was the GSP version of the M9 in the sense that the mods were just what are needed (no frills added) from the MIL-SPEC pistol to keep the cost reasonable. I do believe there were two issues with the pistol's marketing that killed the impact in the market. The first was that Beretta took a long time after the announcement of the pistol to deliver any due to ramping up production in Gallatin, and the second was that Buds was the exclusive retailer. When the pistol finally hit the market, fairly few people (mostly ones from this forum) remembered it, and it was not seen in many, if any, LGS. If it had been announced when significant stocks were available and sold through multiple vendors, the adoption rate would be much higher.
We still have some Langdon M9's in stock.I agree with farscott, especially the point about Bud's,it took Beretta a while to offer the pistols to their dealers. Also a great analogy to the GSP.Personally,I'm a big fan of Beretta 92 and even a bigger fan of Mr.Langdon's pistols.

Hey Guys, just in case your not on our mailing list and did not hear.
Langdon Tactical is doing a Black Friday sale.
Free Trigger Job on all gun purchases!
Free Shipping site wide.
Our way of saying thank you to everyone that has gotten us this far.
Sale runs this morning through Friday the 23rd at midnight.
Any chance this will be a thing this year? I'm holding off on a PX4 CC MOD 5 to see.

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out as well for LTT as it did for me on my 92 LTT Elite. The gun is still the perfect 92 and I just got the new LTT trigger bar and an 11# spring to try. It's hard to imagine it getting much better.

Evening everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have a quick, perhaps naive, question:
Will the Wilson Combat single side G series de-cocker drop into my LTT without issue? Wilson mentions it's not compatible with the M9A3. Is that because it uses the vertec slide or because the slide is milled differently so they levers are more upswept? I'm not really digging how bulky the factory Beretta ambi levers are.

First, welcome to for forum!
Unfortunately no, the Wilson Combat single sided G series de-cocker will not work with your LTT. The Wilson unit only works on 92s that have the older style G set up (92G, WC Brigadier, WC Centurion). The LTT models and the M9A3 all use the new convertible safety/decocker set up that allows you to chose between safety/decocker or decocker only. One of those confusing eccentricities of Beretta 92s and their endless variations.
I agree, the levers on the conversion models are bulky but I have not noticed any difference with concealment. I’m like you though, I wish the WC single sided unit would work.

There is a poster on the Beretta forum screen name WAL who has removed the wing on the right side lever on the new style. The small barrel portion stays though because it houses the return spring. I am not sure if he has been able to make the barrel portion a little smaller or not. An FYI, the new style is in fact slightly narrower than the old style but it does look bulkier.

The factory G lever sticks out just as far as the G conversion unit. Calipers speak the truth. The G conversion unit uses a solid steel lever, the factory G uses a hollow stamping. The G conversion lever is more angular and therefore more positively engaging during actual use. The conversion unit is far easier to install than the original. There's no concealment issues with the conversion unit, I've used it daily for that purpose since it was introduced.
The G conversion unit is a superior part all the way around.

The one in your link, I didn't see anything about it having a trigger job. LTT guns (at least the full size) are sold elsewhere, and the full size LTT I have seen for $850, new, without the trigger job.

for those wanting to pack LTT on duty..... I found something on ebay that I had been searching for quite some time.
I learned that Safariand 6280-73421-131 was the holster I was looking for. I wanted to find it used to save big dollars. I would find the part number new with no photos and stupid prices. I would also see beat up basketweave.
Well, my patience paid off and found new, old stock on ebay under that part number search. It was priced ok and immediately purchased it.
My LTT with a TLR1-HL dropped in but the rotating hood would not close without heavy interference with the LTT hammer. Upon examining further.... the muzzle and light still had plenty of room before it hit the bottom screw on the 6280.
I loosened the bottom screw, removed the flashlight cap/cover, a little heat gun where the slide was bottoming out on both sides of the holster...and pressure on the gun to ease deeper in the holster.
Works perfect now.

None of the ones we have gotten have this yet. I know that we bit the bullet and all the NP3 and Carry Bevel guns from us are now coming with the 18 round mags. We made that switch on our end about a month ago. Beretta should be making the switch on their end shortly.

That’s great news, those 18 rounders are great magazines. I already have a LTT full-size and would like to buy another and would like to have the new magazines with them. I can dream that BUSA would offer discounts/rebates to buy 18 rounders to go with my current pistol. ;)

Kinda surprised that there hasn’t been any posts about the new LTT California Special, yet.
Langdon Tactical understands not all of life in the Golden State glitters for firearm lovers. To provide some shimmer, LTT has created a solution for Californians looking to get the most out of their pistol while remaining compliant with state laws.
The “CS” package will upgrade your California-compliant M9A1 with the signature features that have made the 92 Elite LTT so popular in free states including:
92 Elite LTT Slide
92 Elite LTT Barrel
Langdon Tactical Trigger Job with Elite II Hammer & Optimized Performance Trigger Bar
NP3 treated Steel Trigger
NP3 treated Wilson Combat Guide Rod
Flush Hammer Spring Cap
G10 VZ Ultra-Thin Grips in your choice of color
Oversized Steel Magazine Release
Stainless Steel Grip Screws
1 Additional 10-round Magazine
Inbound and Outbound shipping between LTT and your FFL
There is a limited number of 92 California Special's available.
https://www.langdontactical.com/92-elite-ltt-california-special/
I betcha that if a California customer were to send LTT their M9A1, then he could be persuaded to do a few other custom touches to it.

I AM the market, I think. I would much prefer a .22 on my carry gun, for a trainer (days when I have back issues, etc, that I still want to enjoy myself).
Not sure if those aluminum .22's they sell, since they are not made by Beretta, would take a TJIAB to feel similar to my other 92's, or if the fiber optic sights I have from a vertec slide will fit. Missed that 40% off sale on Beretta, second go around (didn't have the money the first one), or I would have bought the .22 conversion kit.

I'm pretty sure this warning on the Wilson Combat website regarding the M9A3 also applies to the LTT. The LTT uses the convertible G lever and differs from older dedicated G models. The Wilson lever is not a drop in part on these guns.
NOTE: Major Gunsmithing and Slide Modification Required for Non-G Models
Minor Fitting Required when Installing on a Current G Model
This Part Will NOT Work with the M9A3 Beretta Model (slide must be sent to Wilson Combat for it to work)

Thanks JS, I was looking on Wilson’s website but must of missed the disclaimer.
I find the new levers on the right side a little to obtrusive for my liking compared to the Wilson guns.

You could take the right side lever off and help it out w/ a Dremel. The current system is superior in every way except appearance which personally I no longer even notice. Also the total width of the new system is actually slightly less. I don't remember the exact #s (https://pistol-forum.com/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=s) but it's something like .030 inch narrower.

I'm pretty sure this warning on the Wilson Combat website regarding the M9A3 also applies to the LTT. The LTT uses the convertible G lever and differs from older dedicated G models. The Wilson lever is not a drop in part on these guns.

That’s really interesting, I wouldn’t have thought that since they come from Beretta as G models, but Langdon himself says that if you don’t like the G, you can convert it back to FS. Maybe I’m wrong again here, but I don’t think you can convert a true G model to FS, can you?

I do not know the specifics, but an actual G slide differs internally. The G conversion at Wilson involves some milling and original, lower profile, G decockers are installed. Now, all this is from my limited knowledge base.

Interesting. Is there a way to tell if a “G”slide is a conversion without disassembly? Are the WC BrigTacs G conversions?

The brig tac is not, none of the Wilson guns are. Basically, the easy tell is the right side lever. If it looks just like the right lever on the F model, it’s a “traditional G” model. On the other hand, if you look at an Elite LTT and the right side lever on it, you’ll know what the G conversion looks like.
I think people get WAY too wrapped around the axle over the aesthetics on the G conversion vs the traditional G models. The right side lever is no bigger, it doesn’t affect concealment, and the G conversion is a hell of a lot easier to disassemble/reassemble than the traditional G. I mean, if all you’re gonna do with your 92 is admire the fit and finish, I can kinda understand the complaining. But I use my 92’s, a lot. I prefer the ease of maintenance with the conversion so much I sold all of my traditional G models, including both of my Wilson models.

You can't convert from a true G model slide to an FS slide. The older G model slide are milled to remove the detent that allows the levers to stay in the safe position after decocking.

I'm doubtful we'll see many of the true 'G' models in the future. Beretta can essentially use the same manufacturing for the 92X, M9A3, and LTT models. As much as I prefer the original G models (OG?) it doesn't make much business sense for Beretta to produce them in the future now that the G conversion is readily available.
There have been rumors of Beretta introducing additional lever designs for a while now, but we still haven't seen anything.
If I strongly favor the height/width and profile of stock M9 fixed sights what options do I have to mimic them on a vertec slide?
I think my LTT front sight has become tweaked ever so slightly on angle. Truthfully, the fixed sight dimensions "feel" best.
Is there a sight that goes in a vertec dovetail and creates a standard sight picture? Or ideally a FO that is the same size and profile?

These are the Ameriglo Orange Pro Glow sights for the 92 Elite/Vertec/M9A3/92X Series Pistols.
They match up with the stock Elite rear sight and give the correct point of impact. (The Standard Ameriglo Spartan Sights are too tall for the standard Elite Rear Sight). These are much thinner than the Spartan sight at .125" wide vs the Spartan .140" wide.
Terrific addition.

I just picked up a new 92 Elite LTT from my LGS. First shots at the range, I shot a 10 shot group 3.25" to the left at 15 yards. Checking to see if it was me or the gun, I switched from a standing position to a rested position on the bench with extra attention on my sight alignment. The group was tighter (impressively so), but still 3.25" left. I'm pretty sure it's the gun as I don't have the issue with any of my other Berettas.
I don't might finish wear from honest use, but don't want to ding my new $900 pistol with a hammer and punch. What is the best tool to use to adjust the rear sight? Is there a "good enough" tool for someone who only does it rarely? (i.e. a Craftsman level tool vs. Snap-On)

I jacked my slide finish up using one layer of masking tape on the vise jaws and one layer on the slide.
The moral of this story.... I was at home using a small vise. I have a huge vise at work with poly jaws.
make sure you have a good base as my factory rear sight to dovetail slot is tight.
This hurt, but after my tears..... I am no longer afraid to scratch it.
I also bought some 2 mil pipe tape wrap for future jobs.

A couple of things for doing this kind of work. First, I think the best thing to use is a nice piece of leather. You can get two of them from Brownells pretty cheap.
https://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/vises-accessories/vise-jaws/leather-vise-pads-sku413001002-6943-17777.aspx
This is way better than any kind of tape and you can use it hundreds of times without damaging slides.
Also, most jaws can be flipped to put the smooth side out. and that will help a lot as well.
Hope this helps.

Leather? Excellent idea. I usually buy Crossbreed holsters w/ the largest of piece of leather and then trim to fit. So I have a few pieces of horsehide that will work well. Thanks for the idea.

MGW Pro is probably the best money I have spent on firearm tools. Have been able to safely and quickly change sights on B92, PX4 FS and Compct, HK USP 9/45, Walter PPS, and multiple Glocks. Spent the money after accumulating 5 PX4 variants which have notoriously tight rear sights. Used in a vice in very straightforward. I even take it the range to tweak sights, a little bulky there but again move tight sights with little drama. If you do it, order from Brownells, anything breaks they will replace it.

The new thinner, and shorter sight is money. I'm using it with .305 Les Pep rear sight. Changed my sight picture at 25 yards on B8's from a complete drive the dot (actually had to cover the black) to bisect the bull. The thinner front allowed me to see black on both side of the front sight which was previously covered. The best my 48yo eyes can tell the bright orange portion catches the eye just as effectively.
Probably not the best pictures, but gives you an idea on teh size difference.

I must admit that I "just didn't get it" with Berettas. Until I started handling the Wilson pistols and then the LTT pistol. And then the 92X Series of pistols.
I've put my money where my mouth is. I love the LTT and the Wilson BrigTac Vertec. The LTT has a slightly better trigger. I've not yet figured out which frame I prefer (at some point you just shoot what's in your hand, right?).
I have recently liquidated a lot of the items I've collected and decided that if I could not live thru Hell with it I did not keep it.
Now I wish to have a "Box of Berettas" (ref: "Box of Glocks").
I was about to purchase a 92X LTT just yesterday but found a lightly used LTT Elite with the aforementioned outstanding trigger.
Ernest, as soon as this plandemic response even approaches norm I'll be ordering another LTT, perhaps a Centurion. Promise.
Thank you for all you have done; I'm really loving going "old school".
Cannot wait to put the TJIB into the A3G as well.
Gotta get ready to go to the range, your pistol is addictive!
ADDENDUM:
I just compared the Wilson to the LTT and this LTT Elite had to be ordered from Langdon Tactical because the trigger is easily as good as the Wilson BrigTac which gets the TLC trigger and better than the LTT's whatever sat in the store where I picked it up. It's the reason I took it on the spot as opposed to waiting, thinking and ordering. If anyone is sitting on the fence on this pistol... buy with confidence. Order it from Langdon Tactical. If you decide you do not like it or want it, please send me a PM, I'll gladly take it.

I cannot stop laughing. This pistol is the bee's knees. 10 yards... one hole. Using 8" Shoot N C target taped to a IDPA target and everything is easily held within that standard at 25 yards. Things were just over 4" with my less than perfect eyes.
But that's not where this pistol shines, as nice as it is.
I enjoy coming out of the JMCK AIWB holster and putting a round within that 8" bull. The ergonomics: it points... on point. That trigger.... WOW!
So, now it's my carry gun.
Until the Centurion gets ordered.
I'm late to the party but I have arrived. A few more HK45 pistols to sell and the Centurion will be mine.

I hate the front sight on my M9A3. In low light & against a dark target I cannot pick it up at all.
I noticed the AmeriGlo Spartan front sight and even though it’s not bright green rimmed or bright yellow it beats he thin white ring of the OEM sight.
Question: Does the AmeriGlo Spartan front sight work with the OEM rear or should I purchase the AmeriGlo Spartan SET to maintain the factory 25 yard zero?
M9 stock rear sight height above the slide: 0.220 inches measured/ 0.295” including dovetail.
M9 stock front sight height above the slide: 0.140 inches measured/ can not obtain a good measure of the total front sight.
Thanks in advance.

Huge recommendation for The Gun Store in Waterbury, CT.
The owner Lester and I have known each other for a while. I checked the gun out and the de-cocking lever would not return back to the up position. Removing the slide I see the ‘decocking lever return spring’ had one of the legs hanging down into the slide and it was moving freely.
Lester took real good care of me...and then made a phone call to John at JoJo’s GunWorks.
“Drive up to JoJo’s and they’ll square this away while you wait.”
An hour later and a new decocking lever return spring and I’ve got a sweet ass 92G Elite LTT on its way home.
First impression of fit and finish is spectacular. The assembly goof up is easy to overlook. This pistol has the most incredible DA/SA trigger I have ever felt. The triggers on some of my worked over Tanfoglios can’t even match this thing.
WOW!
I’ve got a JMCK Range Holster inbound and due tomorrow...my plan is to take this gun from the box and go rip it up at the last outdoor IDPA match of the season on Sunday morning. This entire season has been on a pair of Glock 17s in CO with top 10 finishes all season here in CT. I’m looking forward to shocking my system Sunday.
Tomorrow will be a quick trip to learn my POA/POI with a couple different types of ammo. Based on feel and grouping I’ll pick whether I run 124 or 147 and coated vs fmj. My coated loads are running right around 130pf and fmj loads run closer to 135.
What is the preferred method to zero the sights for windage...move the front or the rear? I’m assuming they can be drifted with a soft punch and hammer...?
Holster order includes a 13lb hammer spring and an 11.5 recoil spring. This should make the gun run super smooth during gaming.
The box the gun came in had a trigger bar and hammer spring included. What bar/spring combo is installed in the gun and what weight is the recoil spring?
By the feel of the trigger and DA pull measuring at 6lb10oz and SA at 3lb8oz what is the advantage of going with a TJIB? Is it going to get lighter and more defined? This trigger is asinine already. I may leave it alone. But then again a NP3 TJIB would be real nice.
Picking up some ShockBottle basepads and a few more mags...this gun is going to get run.

Did I luck out and get an LTT with a trigger job? The model number on the box is J92G9LTTM but there’s another barcode and part number that looks suspiciously like a Langdon part# LTT-92E-TJ-OP18
If that’s the case did I seriously just score a worked over gun with a trigger job and Optimized trigger bar?

Adjust the rear gently - move them right if you want the bullet to impact slightly right/left if you want them left.
Leave the FS alone - it should be staked.

Easy way to tell if you already have an LTT TJ is the single action reset. If its so short it makes you laugh (I think its 1 or 2 mm) and then has no pre-travel before its back at the wall, then it has the LTT OP trigger bar, and likely all the work that goes with it. Standard Beretta single action reset is like 4 or 5 mm and has some slight pre-travel before getting back to the wall.

I have been using the Beretta base pads on MecGar 18 rnd mags.

I punch a hole through them while they are still on the cardboard w/ one of these.

Hi there, wondering if there is any possible issues if I get a spare LTT RED DOT READY slide for my LTT full size? I mean interchange slides can damage the frame ? thanks in advance.
JUST SAW THE ANSWER IN OTHER POST.
thanks
Hoping someone can give me a little guidance before I place an order. I’ve never owned a 92 so I’m working my way through this entire thread.
If my main purpose for the gun is Uspsa what hammer spring and guide rod spring do you recommend? Also I need to load up on mags?
I plan on getting the full size with trigger job.

I would just get the LTT from Langdon with his trigger job and shoot it. Get some MecGar 18 rounders from LTT while you're at it. If your looking for a lighter pull, maybe a 12 pound spring while your ordering. My LTT elite has become my personal favorite pistol.

He doesn’t mention balancing the reduced hammer spring with a stronger recoil spring, even going down to 13lbs. I wonder at what point point that becomes an issue, or if it ever does within the range of hammer springs that will still set off a primer.

I’d like to hear Ernest Langdon’s recommendation on that was well.
I’m currently running a 12 lb hammer spring and a Langdon 12.5 lb recoil spring in my LTT Elite. It’s seemed to work fine for the last 800 rds or so (I have just shy of 12k through the gun), but I’d certainly like to know what’s ideal.

I would say you want the full size with the LTT trigger job. I would call LTT if I were you to order and explain to them what you are wanting and they can add the springs you need for your purpose. Too easy!

I have heard the general theory about trading off lighter hammer spring w/ a heavier recoil spring. I have never seen a recommendation to do this on a 92. My thought only....that theory only deals w/ the slide moving back and compressing the springs. Seems kind of reasonable there right? But how about when the slide goes forward again? The hammer spring has no effect there but the stronger recoil spring sure would. But it would be a negative effect. 1- The slide slams against the stop harder = more and or sooner damage. 2- It could also slam the muzzle down more than ideal.
Ernest your thoughts please.
I placed an order for one of these with a trigger job.
I'll admit I never would've considered this gun if it wasn't for P-F so thanks for that. Now I have to endure the 4-6 week wait...
This is my first da/sa gun and I got it to get back into USPSA but it may end up on my nightstand eventually. I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help with.
1) What replacement parts should I keep on hand and what's the replacement schedule?
2) What does your maintenance schedule look like for cleaning and oiling? I never really did much with my Glocks but watching a video from Ernest it seems I need to stay on top of these a little more.
2) Is anybody reloading for these? I have a bunch of coated bullets in 124grn that are .356 I believe. I read somewhere that beretta's like .357 better but not sure if that's true.
Looking forward to learning the da/sa!
Also I reached out to LTT and the recommended the 12.5 lb recoil spring for competition. I went with a 12 lb hammer spring as well.

1) I’m at 12,000+ rds, and have replaced recoil springs twice (every 5k), most recently with a LTT 12.5# spring. I concur that a trigger return spring is a good idea to have on hand. I haven’t broken one yet, but have preventatively replaced them in other 92s when removing them for other work.
2) I clean and lube mine every 500-700 rounds. It’s never been even close to “too dirty to run well”, but it makes me feel better.
3) I reload most of my practice and match ammo. On recommendations of others here, I tried .356 and .357 Gallant coated bullets in 147 gr. In back-to back testing at 25 yds, my groups were consistently slightly better with .356, so that’s what I’ve used for the last 18 months or so. YMMV.

GyroF-16 - When I had a Brigadier it preferred .357 lead bullets. Beretta groove diameter tends to be...generous. Testing as you did is the best way to figure it out.

The blue bullets I have a lot of stock are .355. Any harm in using them? Another thing that’s gonna take some adjustments coming from glocks. They would eat anything I fed em.

They'll function fine in the Beretta. Their accuracy may not be as good as the perfect diameter.
Berettas tend to be pretty omnivorous. My PX4s are happy with LSWCs.

I’m sure they’ll be fine... I don’t think that the LTT 92 is any pickier than Glocks for ammo. But you might try some .356 and .357 when you get a chance (like the next time you stock up), and see if it tightens your groups up any. I haven’t found anything that shoots POORLY in the 92. Just some slightly better than others. My best groups were with Berry’s 115 gr plated bullets with a hotter load. But I like the compromise of price, recoil impulse and accuracy that I get with the Gallant 147s.

I run an 11lb mainspring on my full size Elite LTT, Brig Tac & Cen Tac and have shock buffs in all three as per the advice of Bill Wilson. I have seen little to no evidence the shok buffs are doing anything, despite the light mainspring. Therefore running a light mainspring on a Beretta doesn't appear to be a potential problem, with the possible exception to those who continually run +p or +p+ ammo. BTW I run standard recoil springs in all three.

I'm right about to pull the trigger on either a full size LTT RDO 92 or a Centurion. I plan on using the gun for carry in a Phlster Floodlight AIWB and also for USPSA. For those who have had an opportunity to own both a full size and a centurion, which would you say would be the best way to go?
I used to assume that the longer slide length would equate to easier to control muzzle flip due to the extra weight. After spending the last two years with a g19 gen 5 with RMR and a g34, I found I can control the g19 best. I think that might be due to grip but I wonder if the slide length/weight might have something to do with it so I figured I'd ask here about the full size vs centurion.
I don't think the slide length for carry should be an issue since I carry AIWB with an X300 attached.
Reading through the various threads on here about these guns it sounds like the Centurions and Compacts have pretty amazing build quality. The only issue I'm a little worried about is the walking de-cocker pin which was reported by a couple of members with the full size.

I prefer the G19 over the G34, and the G17 over both of those. I also prefer the Centurion over the Full sized.
Turns out the Centurion has about the same slide length as a G17 and the Full sized 92 has the slide length of the G34. That may tell you something. But for a one gun solution I would choose the Centurion.

I have had both Wilson guns(standard frame) and a LTT full-size. I prefer the full-size LTT. I personally don’t notice a difference like my Glocks in frame size and slide length. I think the recoil characteristics of 92s are different so it’s orange to apples. I really would not get caught up in the minimal slide length difference. If you have a x300u attached then it even makes it more towards a full-size. If you are going to compete go with the full-size.
I also preferred having a longer slide and for my height and build.
Also I know a lot of people like the Floodlight but I personally don’t get it and wonder if they have ever had a proper WML AIWB from the likes of DSG or JM custom. In my opinion the holsters from these two are superior to the Floodlight.

I have a JM custom kydex AIWB for my non railed 1911's. I find it to be extremely comfortable and very well built.
I prefer the Phlster spotlight for my Glocks and dedicated AIWB type holsters over the floodlight with regards to comfort and ride height adjustments. I just wasn't aware there were options now from other makers for those who like to carry with an x300 and optic on a 92.

It has been awhile since I put rounds through a Centurion but I’m finding that I like that length a little better than the full-size. There isn’t anything wrong with a full-size and there isn’t a huge difference compared to a centurion. I remember the centurion running a little flatter and quicker though.

I've had this recently and put a little PSA out there about it... Easiest thing is to "gently" (hhhhhuuuuuuuurrrrrr) stake the pin after you use a punch to push it back all the way...
This used to happen with the older 2-pin system too, maybe not as much... Bottom line- just check your gear once in a while.

Understood and thank you for the information. I’ve been watching videos of what some people put these guns through and I’m pretty blown away. Very excited to pick one up soon but I’m still a little conflicted on which one to get first.
It sounds like the centurion is the way to go based on my preference of the 19 vs 34 handling characteristics and the feedback here.

I have both the full size and Centurion LTT 92s...and I’m sending the Centurion to LTT to get milled for a RDS. Slide cycles a tad faster than the full size which I prefer when I’m shooting a RDS.
I received my LTT full size with trigger job. All I can say is WOW! I can’t believe how short the reset is on SA.
I went with a 12lb hammer and a 12.5 recoil spring. 12 lb hammer is too light. I took it to the range and ran almost 250 rounds through it and had 6 light primer strikes. I also had a failure to eject/double feed. I’m not sure how to explain it the round didn’t fully extract and was jammed in there by a new round. This was very surprising because I had never seen this malfunction before. The light strikes were frustrating and I cannot fault the pistol for that I wanted to see how light I could get the hammer spring. I guess I found out.
I’ve been shooting small single stack 9s a lot lately and this thing was a tack driver. I’m very excited to see what I can do with this. There’s definitely a learning curve with the da and learning to decock.
Looks like I’m going to be changing the hammer spring. I watched a YouTube video and it seems very easy. I have a 13 and 14 lb hammer spring.

JCS I am surprised to see you type about light strikes w/ a 12 # hammer spring. I have been running one for 2-3 years now in several 92s w/ LTT TJIBs. Federal and CCI Independence aluminum case ammo have been 100%. What ammo are you shooting? The summer of 2019 I did a have a period of failure to extract w/ one gun. I tried several things and it was finally fixed w/ a stronger extractor spring from Wilson. I still don't understand why I had this w/ one of 8 B92s but it's been fine since.

Interesting - I’ve got over 12,000 rds through my LTT Elite with a 12 lb hammer spring. The only (apparent) light strikes were last year with what turned out to be a bad lot of Federal Syntech ammo. They had bad primers, and Federal acknowledged it and replaced that case of ammo. Everything else (Speer, Remington, and WWB factory ammo and my reloads with Winchester primers) have ignited 100%.
The only feed malfunction that I’ve had was a failure to extract like you described. It was with cheap, low quality Remington UMC 115 gr. I also had several stovepipes in that session as well. As soon as I went back to my regular Federal Syntech or reloads, everything functioned perfectly again. I was theorizing that the cases didn’t have a good crisp edge on the rim, so the extractor didn’t always get a good purchase to extract the case fully.
I appreciate the idea about using the stronger Wilson Combat extractor spring. I’ll keep that in mind for when I do a detail strip and clean.

Personally I've never had good results with the 12# spring across two LTT Elite pistols and a LTT tuned Brigadier Tactical, regardless of ammunition selection. I stick with 13# and 14# springs in my 92s. I agree Federal primers are best with the lower powered springs.

Maybe I got a bad spring? Either way I’m going to change the spring because I don’t have a lot of confidence in the gun to run reliably as is.

Please update when you receive them. I tried to get LOK to extend the bogie texture all the way to the top but they cannot take it up a high as the VZ recon 2s. Might try the full checkered of LOK or Stoner to have a in between option.

I just got the recon 2's and they are aggressive... VERY aggressive. Possibly the most aggressive grips I've used to date, including more than the most aggressive stippling I have done on polymer frames. I would consider it a distinct big step up in grip from the other options out there (LOK full and deeper cut bogie, Stoner CNC super agressive). They are obviously less comfortable though, and I am not sure I'd use these for carry.

My VZ recons are great...after I sanded them a bit.64478
13 lb hammer spring fixed the light strike issue. Put 210 rounds through it and zero malfunctions. Also shot a personal best at 25 yds. Nothing too special but for me it beat my previous best of 93 with a Glock 34 64537
Can anyone tell me what size screws the grip screws are for this? Apparently I stripped one out when I took off the grips to change to hammer spring. I know they sell them on Langdon but I’m hoping I can find a set of screws from LOK grips website to avoid paying shipping for new grips and screws.

I used hogue flathead stainless screws on an Langdon M9 with the same grips. You can get them on amazon pretty cheap. They are a smidge longer, but with the o rings they fit perfect.

Hogue grip screws are the best. I’ve had several Beretta screws break or strip out over the years. The Hogue ones last longer.

+1. Prefer the Hogue ones too. Especially if the screws are black, the Hogue ones I think are 416 stainless underneath the black oxide. The Beretta screws are rusty red within a few days of carry.

Well. I have had a centurion LTT for a little bit now. Finally was able to take her out and really put some rounds through it. This is the smoothest shooting 9mm I have shot. It’s the base model with trigger job.
Very very impressed with the performance. All our shooting was done at night with stadium lights or wml. Only thing I would like to change is having a front night sight installed instead of the fiber optic.
My buddy who is not a da/sa fan was blown away by her. We were killing the steel plate rack and was able to make hits at 100. I can’t imagine with a dot on her.

Switched to LOK grips veloce standard width. These things are GRIPPY! Not recommended for carry but it locks my grip in there with multi directional texturing.
Edit: my pictures seem to rotate when I upload. If anyone knows why let me know.

This happens when I post photos from my iPhone. Before posting the photo, edit it and just rotate it 360 degrees. When it posts it will be oriented correctly.

Can anyone tell me what rear sight works with the stock fiber front sight for a drive the dot sight picture?
Or better question; if my gun currently shoots top of the sight post at 25 yards, do I need a taller or shorter rear sight?

Lower. To lower point of impact, get a lower rear or taller front. Reverse this if you want to raise POI.

Here is how I remember it. Instead of thinking in small increments, which is what you’ll ultimately do, think bigger. If my front sight was a foot taller, which way would the gun be pointing to align the sights? (Or if the rear sight was a foot taller...)

Why?

Guessing they might be too abrasive for concealed carry w/o a t-shirt.
Why?
Not because of the thickness but because of the texture. It’s like pointy sandpaper and it would be a no go without an undershirt and I imagine it would do a number on your shirts.

The Veloce are not for people who wear gloves to workout. They are two different textures. The main grip is a more aggressive version of the Bogies and the rear curve is a bidirectional combination of channels and serrations. Just touching them next to the Bogies is eye opening. They offer amazing purchase but I imagine that your undershirt and cover garments would wear very quickly.

That's a good analogy. I recently put a pair of Veloce grips on a 92 and now that I think of it gripping the gun did seem a little like gripping an aggressively knurled power bar with no chalk.

With a build up like that, I have to order some now.
I have come to prefer aggressive grips for carry. I have found that aggressive g10 grips don’t really grab my clothing or chaff me.
I probably would not take a 3 day course with them unless your hands/palms are calloused and up to it.
Trying to build a spare parts kit now. What’s the replacement schedule for springs and the parts I need to have spares of?

Has anyone tried a 92x Performance rear sight on a 92 Elite LTT? I am interested in an adjustable rear sight.

I recall reading that the rear sight cut is different than the standard Beretta rear sight.

Something to research for you about that adjustable rear sight. I just bought one of these
https://www.berettausa.com/en-us/beretta-92-96-target-adjustable-rear-sight/e00169/
The notch is so shallow I never even installed. The problem is that the bottom of the notch is flush w/ the area forward of it w/ the graduated scale on it. So there is no way to file or grind it deeper. I have no way to know if this is the same as the X Performance sight but something to look out for.
Could someone with a LTT full size and an x300u measure how much the light protrudes from the end of the barrel? Trying to figure out if it can be used in USPSA

Not the best angle, but it measures exactly 3/8” past the barrel. What is the limit?

I really hate to see this thread be relegated to the past, there’s a lot of good info here. I’m reading the whole thread again for the second time.
I recently bought a LTT 92 Elite. It is my first 92 and it’s impressing the hell out of me - enough so that I turned around and bought a LTT 92 Elite Compact, too.
There was some discussion back in 9/18 about EL’s concerns that sales numbers for these were lower than hoped. My recent gun is in the 11,6XX serial range, and I’m wondering if that’s indicative that these ended up being more of a hit than it seemed at the time.
Mine with LTT trigger job but no NP3 is so good that the only thing I want to do to it is cosmetic - I’m a sucker for VZ’s black cherry grips and am waiting for the LTT grips in this color to come back into stock. (I already have them for the Compact.)

I always took the introduction and continued supply of the original LTT and then the Centurion and Compact and the continued production of those that even if the start was a little slow, it did get rolling and never stopped. If things had stayed mediocre Beretta wouldn't still be making LTTs let alone introducing new sizes.

Thanks for bringing this thread back. I can’t speak for the rest of you but I am doing my part in keeping the numbers up. I ordered a second full size rdo carry bevel during the black friday sale.
Question for the 92 folks: How are you installing/removing the taller LTT front sight? I have seen a few reports online of the front sight fallling off on higher round count guns. I am thinking about bedding mine with loctite. I ordered a backup front sight from LTT and I want the tools on hand to replace it if the original falls off. I understand Dawson ships their 92 front sights with a block that fits in the slide to support it while vised up. I personally like the Dawson method of drifting with a punch vs an expensive clamp style drifter.

Part of me hopes I never get to handle a carry bevel 92 - if I ever do, I could see it making me want to send my pair back to LTT for the work and NP3.

Yesterday on a friends 92X I used a drift and hammer to replace the front sight. Dang that thing was tight. I installed an FO sight and made up a custom drift from one of the Dawson aluminum drifts I had. Since the is so little metal in the middle (looking from the side) of the FO I wanted a wide drift to catch the entire sight. At least on the 92s I have replaced sights on I have never had a loose one so I wouldn't use loctite. You could always install the new sight so you have a good idea how tight it is. If it goes on easily, use the green loctite which is specifically engineered to weep into already assembled pieces.

Old thread, but my first LTT 92 is on the way. Centurion with carry bevel, NP3, trigger job and RDO cut. I'll have a spare plus a similarly done up PX4 CC in a couple months. Really excited to get to know these guns and focus on DA/SA for a while.

3 range trips, 600 rounds and a bunch of dry fire and I'm pretty in love with my LTT RDO carry bevel Centurion. This 25 yard group was shot rested, zeroing the 6MOA EPS, not freestyle. My first run freestyle after zeroing was an 86 with 2 horrible trigger presses that cost me 7 points. Followed that up with a 91. I'll take it for not having shot a DA gun in a decade.
These things shoot, that Ernest guy was on to something.
