I totally understand that people not into guns may be concerned with what they see and hear. The bigger issue is that if anyone can read this "reporting", and not see that is it massively biased, then I don't know what to think. As a nation, we have failed at more important things than the gun issue. The gun debate is just a symptom of our larger illness.

New York City banned Glocks, huh? Somebody better tell that to the NYPD. Also pretty sure that NYC banned every other handgun, too, so maybe Mother Jones should consider doing a little... what's it called.... reading? Yeah, they should do more of that.

God, that was awful. It wasn't factual at all. It's astounding how "white male" is automatically bad nowadays. Apparently gun companies are evil for leaving states where their products are not welcome and where bureaucratic gun laws stifle their efficiency for states that don't impede buying and selling of their products nor throw up artificial barriers and taxes to doing business there. The conspicuous damning of anything luxury in that article was nothing more than emotionally charged nonsense covering up the fact that aside from being evil (because white and male), the gun manufacturing executives are also evil because they live well.

Apparently Wayne Weber (http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/01/16/shot-hk-interview-president-wayne-weber-lots-pics/) didn't make the cut because he doesn't make enough money or perhaps because he's not a white male.

The day a liberal publication runs a hard hitting article admitting that Daniel Patrick Moynihan's conclusion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Negro_Family:_The_Case_For_National_Action) that "The steady expansion of welfare programs can be taken as a measure of the steady disintegration of the Negro family structure over the past generation in the United States" directly correlates to our inner city violence and murder numbers will never come. Truly, it is nearly forbidden (politically incorrect) to report upon the real cause of our gun-related murders in the US but sadly, it's obvious that nearly all of our journalists do not care.

Heather Mac Donald wrote this stunning piece on what Obama actually did as a community organizer in Chicago (http://www.city-journal.org/html/chicago’s-real-crime-story-13248.html) and I recommend that all of you read it. If you want to continue that rabbit hole of what's wrong with our inner cities, read this synopsis of Of Elephants and Men (http://thesestonewalls.com/gordon-macrae/in-the-absence-of-fathers-a-story-of-elephants-and-men/)."

One thing I'm certain of is that the vast majority of our journalists have no idea who Edward R Murrow (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_R._Murrow) nor even remember the work of Lowell Bergman (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004KR8XG2/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=ratio07-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B004KR8XG2&linkId=a301de6fa649cf9acfe99b96fe364210) (the article that kicked off "The Insider" can be read for free here (http://www.vanityfair.com/magazine/1996/05/wigand199605)). We no longer have any sort of integrity in journalists nor work ethic as evidenced by Obama's speech writer bragging to the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/08/magazine/the-aspiring-novelist-who-became-obamas-foreign-policy-guru.html?_r=0) about he fed the journalists exactly what he wanted them to say and they never bothered validating their "source." Bob Woodward said that if he was younger, he absolutely would have been at the IRS investigating the 401C scandal (http://dailycaller.com/2014/10/26/bob-woodward-on-obama-irs-scandal-lots-of-unanswered-questions-video/) and lamented the death of investigative reporting.

About the only folks that seem to do any old school factual journalism are the Spotlight team at the Boston Globe.

Buford and I were recently expert witnesses in a case where the Federal Judge apparently ignored all the USG documentation we provided and instead quoted a deeply flawed Mother Jones magazine in her ruling--fortunately the Appellate Judges were not impressed and seriously slapped her decision...

Mother Jones reporting is the equivalent of the crazy guy screaming on the street corner. They are loud and might get your attention but to any intelligent person it's quickly determined to be complete bullshit

A mother jones exposé that opens with the the declaration of "They are all white, all middle-aged, and all men" is really pandering to your target audience. What more fiery damnation could they possibly level at at group of businessmen!?

... but to any intelligent person it's quickly determined to be complete bullshit

If we were dealing with intelligent people, that might matter.

Anything less than the reincarnation of Joe Stalin would be unacceptable to Mother Jones.

If the media wants to work toward actual solutions for gun violence, to do right by the people who are senselessly murdered, they need more than righteous indignation. They need to be better informed and more willing to engage honestly with their opponents.

From Slate(!) of all places. (http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/06/the_media_keeps_misfiring_when_it_writes_about_gun s.html)

Opinions about gun owners are how many liberals allow the bigotry program a nice little safe garden to operate in their heads.

All I got from that article was, "People that run large companies make a lot of money."
