Ive seen one of them Looked like it may be decent, I just have a difficult time trusting an unknown holster maker for a duty holster.
Always been a Safariland guy for duty holsters.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codependency

Codependency is a behavioral condition in a relationship where one person enables another person's addiction, poor mental health, immaturity, irresponsibility, or under-achievement.[1] Among the core characteristics of codependency is an excessive reliance on other people for approval and a sense of identity.

;-)

Seriously Safariland ain't what it used to be and cutting a mold for an ALS is supposedly $50k or more. Usually need an Agency order to justify the cost.

Which makes me surprised that the ALS exists for the CZ P-07/P-09. I know that agencies in other countries carry them, but I don’t know how popular the ALS is outside of the USA.

I saw an officer from what is the new version of the Mexican Federal Police carrying a P-07/09 this summer.

Can they do an RDS thumb break?

The P07 is popular with police in sone middle eastern countries like Egypt. Often times it is part of a package deal for CZ pistols and scorpion sub machine guns.

I probably wouldn’t carry an old school thumb break.
I also carry a light on my work gun, I would think finding a guy to make a thumb break that fits with a light and rds would almost be impossible anyway.

I did see this link somewhere https://www.mwtsmn.com/kydex-holster/magazine-carrier-mrs-fkgs7-rjhsp
Just not sure I’d trust it for duty use against a grab attempt. I could be wrong and it could be fine.

I understand. Though you might check with Ted Blocker. They offer a dual retention strap, but I have no idea how well it works. There are Blocker holster made for WMLs.

It would be interesting to know what kind of holster the LAPD officer who had his Beretta taken recently was using. I doubt it was an ALS, but nothing is fool proof.

Since Beretta for some reason decided that vertical only serrations were good enough for the 92A1 (spoiler alert, they suck) , I bought a sheet of Pro material from Talon Grips and added it to the front and back straps.
It’s in between the granular and the rubber. So far I like it.

Still need to swap out the grips for some thin VZs, but my first foray into dot-pistols is of course a 92.

Wilson Centurion frame with WC trigger job, Langdon RDO compact slide, factory threaded bbl, Swampfox Liberty optic, and a Dead Air Odessa-9 suppressor.

So the thread about not being able to purchase parts directly from Glock got me to thinking about long term parts shortages. I’m waiting on BUSA to get some 3rd Gen locking blocks back in stock so I can grab a couple. Otherwise my M9 is pretty vanilla compared to most of the pictures posted. 67776

That is the L Type P, IIRC. I carried a Cougar L for a few years (shorter grip than the Type P). One of the best damn carry pistols I’ve owned. Traded to a friend who had to have it.

I took a closer look. The rollmarks say Mod. 8000 Cougar F. It’s roughly the same size as a Centurion.

At this point, it’s just a 92FS with a unique roll mark on the slide and a cool box to me. I bought it because the price was right and I’m thinking about building a 92D Centurion just because I want one. Otherwise it’s just an investment piece and a tertiary backup.

The trigger was pretty good with the D spring. It’s even more gooder with a Wolff 13# spring. I haven’t had the chance to run much ammo through it yet. 60 rounds of Blazer Aluminum case 115 ball and 5 rounds of Hydrashok 124. No failures so far. I hope that continues to be the case.

I was looking pretty hard at a new 92X frame with all the important parts that was for sale over on the Beretta forum and then buying one of the 92D Centurion parts kits for sale on EveryGunParts.com. Buying an original came out to be substantially cheaper as I was getting up into new M9A3 price ranges just to get all the parts together. Especially as the parts kits didn’t include locking blocks. It’s a bit of a bummer that I don’t have a rail but that’s never been a requirement for me for a defensive pistol.

Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the gun. I’ll probably spring for a Wilson rear sight eventually unless someone can suggest a better option to get a slightly wider notch than OEM.

Soooo, I don’t own these, but did assemble them.

My friend owned a local range, and that range was featured on several TV shows, like Dooms Day Preppers, The Little Couple, and a few others for TLC. At one point, he was asked if a show could film there that turned out to be “Norman Reedus: Ride Across America”. The plot was Norman Reedus from Walking Dead riding his motor cycle across the country, and each episode had a different guest and would include a different stop over and activity. Well, the planned episode would have Norman and his Boonbock Saints co star Sean Patrick Flanders go to the shooting range.

So my buddy bought these matching Berettas and had the custom paint job applied. And a few days before the episode was due to film, a rather large and famous school shooting occurred. And the producers and Norman decided an episode of shooting guns was all yucky…. So they canceled. Never mind Norman makes a living shooting people every week on The Walking Dead, and in other movies.

Anyway, the show was never filmed, my buddy sold off the pistols, and I never got my 5 min of fame on TV helping run the range for the show.

And that is the back story of how these two pistols got a paint job that I would never own…. But someone snatched up at a premium price.

For some reason that I can’t fully explain I think that version of the 21A is just about cool as can be. Sometimes about the grips and threaded barrel. I’d never carry one, and would probably shoot it only occasionally, but if I ever come across a good price on a slightly used one, I’d probably take it home for funsies.

I've wanted one for a while and I just so happened to have a shotgun on consignment at the store that had just sold. So I only had to fork over $100 out of pocket. I don't have any cans yet but I do plan to get some so the threaded barrel was a must. If I had a choice I would have got an FDE one because I live in the desert and black guns get hot stupid fast in direct sunlight, but this is what they had. I will say the blued/wood looks much nicer than an FDE one.

Did some Lego-ing not long ago with my 92s to test a theory. I took the RDO slide from an LTT Compact and put it on a 96G Elite II frame to see if the Compact slide would reliably run on the full size frame. If it would, I was going to put that slide on the 92X that pulls nightstand duty. It did so I did. No pics of the LTT/92X, just the LTT/Elite II test mule. Flat or trimmed takedown lever? What for?

Maybe so someone doesn’t Jet Li your ass?

Yes, I know all the Hollywood trickery that went into that. I used to have a web page on it when it first came to video. But.. I also knew someone that could pull it off, no pun intended.

Exactly!

The story I heard was back when Lethal Weapon 4 came out in the late 90’s, it concerned the Department force instructors enough that the Department started buying Berettas with modified takedown levers to prevent the “Jet Li” move. I’m guessing it started in 2000 because my issued Beretta that was made in 1999 didn’t have it but this “M” produced in 2000 did.

Of course, I consider this dumb on multiple levels. First, in the movie the takedown lever is already rotated so all he had to do was pull the slide off the frame. Second, in order to do the Jet Li move, someone has to stand there and let you grab their gun. If you do that they could just about as easily take the whole gun... and shoot you with it.

Were I to have the choice I would much prefer you take the slide... that way I could shoot you with gun #2.

In 2006 the Department started initiated a maintenance program. They inspected and cleaned the pistol’s extractor area, I think maybe changed the locking block, and much to my disappointment, installed the modified takedown lever. It’s a pain in the butt. Once completed, a “6” was stamped on the frame. My issued Beretta 92FS was done in 2007 and I put a regular takedown lever back in. When I was able to buy that gun in 2013 I put the modified one back in just as a conversation piece.

This “M” will keep its “stupid” takedown lever as well.
