I regularly tell people that they get the policing they vote for.

They voted for this. It's kind of like that saying about making your bed................

You get the police you deserve, not the police you want.

I want to know who made the 21,000 stops. That is 21,000 too many.

Dallas's crime rate is plus 85%.....I can only imagine what is going on elsewhere. Chicago must be insane.

I'm sure some of you know of this site. I follow it semi-regularly and it's a sad reminder of just how quick the action/reaction curve is on stupid politics.

Unless there's a dead body, slow roll to the call and get there just in time to take a report.

If there is a dead body, slow roll to the call and get there just in time to take a report.

As has been said these places get the policing they want. They don't want the cops in the 'hood? Accommodate them.

I was listening to Cam & Company the other night. He was saying that encounter reports or whatever they call the contact forms was down from 61,000 to 9000 compared to the same time last year. Can you really blame them?

Chicago is an democrat controlled armpit that will eventually eat itself and probably drag the state down with it.

Have an old timer say during an FOP meeting the other night around last call - "don't generate a crime scene if you don't have to, and if one already exists, it'll still be there after you finish your sandwich."

You guys will not believe how bad it has become here. There is so much hate,anti-police rhetoric. The blm even protested at a benefit the FOP was sponsoring for a small child who has a terminal disease. The police had to escort a pro-police counter demonstrator away for his own safety. Of course none of that made the news. You all saw the Trump rally a few weeks ago. If the court finds Van Dyke innocent which could happen, look out. I predict full blown, all out civil insurrection. I'm stocking up big time on 9mm and 5.56. It's a damn shame what this city has become and I'm afraid it's going to get worse.
Forgot this. Yesterday the teachers conducted a one day strike. They had a rally downtown. A union rep/teacher gets up on stage, grabs the mic and starts shouting "F... the police. Several times. Others were arrested for jumping on squad cars.

I gotta head to the range and sight some gear in...

I mean...what guns? I lost them all in a boating accident.

The elected head of one local organization has said just violent crime is up pushing 30%. Property crimes were never mentioned in the discussion. And self-initiated activity is way down.

What is interesting is that if you are in certain areas of Dallas (the non-Democrat ones), you would have no idea that crime was up at all........weird how the support your local cops places are fine, and the places with cop haters is off the chart.

I'd just like to point out that while the murder rate may have climbed a few notches, use of force in Chicago is down. This is what they wanted.

No Go Zones by referendum. New symbols on road maps, Community Enforcement Area, get a travel pass, sign the waiver and hide enough cash to buy your way out. There will be a need for professional guides, street smart and adept in the violent arts. Saints preserve us.

It's all the popo's fault. It's the policeman's fault when he does his job, it's the policeman's fault when he doesn't do his job.

At least the evil police are no longer profiling......anybody, so that is a big plus for Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, and other locations. You simply pay in crime, which is what the folks there were told. In life it is called choices.

Only from those being shot at it would seem.

I'm getting a bit tired of hearing about the Bureau of Land Management protests...
