I took my 18 month old walking around toddlers to a small zoo with several big cats. I had the overwhelming sense that my boys were food.

A buddy’s wife was taking a walk with one of their dogs a few years back. My friend watched them from a hill with his binos & saw that a mountain lion was stalking them. It had been a very hard winter & the surviving predators were very hungry.

She started carrying the family 1911 on walks after that.

About 36 years ago I had the task of getting prison system doctors certified in cpr. My teacher was a female nurse. The doctors, being Asian Indians, refused to take instruction from a female and from any other person not a physician. I was not able to locate a medical doctor who was certified to teach cpr. I went to a neighboring town, discovered an African American undertaker who was certified, and explained my problem. He agreed with my plan to introduce him as Dr. Jones. I did, and he got these dummies certified in cpr.

There were myriad reasons for not being able to fail them. One is that I would have been fired. The goal was not learning cpr but to have these jokers certified for accreditation purposes. Anyway, back then no prison employee would have put his mouth on an inmate's mouth to carry out a medical procedure. You see, they would have been concerned about "where their mouth had been". I heard that phrase a million times.

And as the very wise man above said, few doctors are standing in line for that job.

Do you remember the short lived Prius commercial that had Prius-s (Priui?) outrunning every other car? Shortly after that commercial aired, I had a guy pull up next to me at a light and want to race. Much to our surprise, a 2009 Corvette was actually able to easily out run the Prius. :eek:

When we had the garage open, one of their customers did car transports as a side business. One day he pulled in with a concept electric car on his trailer which was pulled by a Ford Expedition. IIRC, the story was they were having him haul the car to Florida because it was not practical to drive it.

Circa 2008, Linde had a "Hydrogen Tour" where they took a bunch of cars across the country, all traveling on hydrogen. You'll note the tanker truck in the background; they had several with them at all times. The trucks run on diesel.

eta: also, the one that drove the most like a normal car, and other than the filler nozzle you couldn't tell the difference in interior or trunk space, was the Honda Clarity.

I'm still not sure if EM is a benevolent genius or one volcano island purchase away from being a James Bond villain, but for the most part i'm liking the cut of his jib.

If you rupture that container you're going to have a Really Bad Time, especially if an ignition source is available. Couple that with the the fact the average person is brutally stupid and will manage to screw up the refueling connection far too often. While I do find mushroom clouds to be quite lovely certain times of the year, having them occur with regularity isn't my idea of a good time.

I thought the biggest drawback to Hydrogen cars was that you couldn't efficiently synthesize Hydrogen, i.e. it used more power to make it than it produced. Has that problem been solved?

I think your mistaking hydrogen gas at room temp and pressure. I believe, Hydrogen under high pressure behaves differently. Even when it sees a radical decompression aka busted tank. Hyundai has a hydrogen vehicle operating in population centers in the USA that they have supposedly done testing on for ruptures of all kinds and couldn’t make it go all Hindenburg. Large scale Hydrogen generation, distribution and storage are a different issue though.
