What is your favorite firearm 9mm doublestack for AIWB.

HK P-series LEM guns, my personal preferences P30>P30L>P2000>P2000sk. Polymer for weight reduction benefits, hammer, long trigger travel and self decocking nature of LEM for safety margins, flush hammer fit for better profile, everything that's been rehashed here many times.

Probably my Shield or J frame. I usually carry a Glock, but those 2 basically dissolve when placed into an AIWB holster.

Sad to say, P30 LEM. Sad because my beloved 1911 is my fav. I just think there is more safety features with the HK.

I too prefer the HK LEM guns. My favorite is the P2000 V2. Same size as a G19 with the increased reliability that HK provides is to me the perfect set up. I also carry a P30 magazine with TF +5 extension for my reload or a P2000 magazine with a TF +5. I was running a P30 LEM but after shooting the V2 P2000 and carrying it for a bit I made the switch. Gun is smoother than the P30 against the skin and just a bit smaller which makes concealing it AIWB easier than the P30.

Do you shoot your G19 in competition, or are you running a G17/G34 for competition and relegate the G19 to carry duty?

While the LEM trigger system is definitely a work in progress for me, at this point, the P30 LEM is my idea of a "perfect AIWB pistol". The hammer + long trigger pull has really eased the concerns that have crept in with glocks over the last few years. Now whether or not my idea of a perfect AIWB pistol is a workable solution for me is yet to be determined, as the jury is out in terms of progressive performance gains. Two gadgets will be in my mail box sooner or later, and we'll see if that changes things.

Not a big fan of double-stack iwb. If only there were more double stacks that were as slim as a high-power...

Why isn't there a polymer hi-power with a 1911 trigger and a 4.25" bbl? Id carry that everywhere. Or a polymer 1911 sans grip safety and a hi-power type tilting bbl lockup...

UNK

I agree about the hi power. Heres a thread you might be interested in. https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?18929-Sig-320-Poll-and-improvement-request-list

haha. I really like the P30 and the LEM for all the reasons mentioned, and more, so I won't jump ship easily. I just need to find the patience to work through it. It's hard to take a few steps back at this point, and you know the details as to why.

PS. We need to talk GSD's. I'm thinking I'll start a Romper Room thread soon.

I shoot the G19 in competition, too. I don't even own any larger Glocks anymore. For competition, I do use G17 mags, and I'll probably get some of the 140mm Pmags for shooting limited in USPSA.

G19 for now. I just picked up a P30 LEM for all the reasons mentioned here. This will be my third try with a P30 and admittedly I did not give the gun the patience or the effort I should have before.

Oddly enough,

The G34 'sits' better than the G19 for me. The longer barrel snakes past Willie, and points to the side of Mr. Scrotum. I'm much happier with that arrangement over my G19 that seems to push into to the middle of my wedding tackle. Unnerving, and I'd hate to deny the Mrs. one of the great joys in life.

I like having something long enough to (hopefully) place past the important bits of me - that includes my femoral...

btw - I am using a Raven Edilon, which is a nice holster.

I run everything in a G17 length holster, so it generally has the same effect, of keeping it pointed down the front and not into my pelvis, even if I downsize all the way to the G26.

RMJack

Good point about the G17 length holster, I think AIWB might be a time when a longer holster is better.

I know Gabe runs (or at least used to run) a Keeper, which is a full length G34 holster, perhaps for the same reason. A place for everything and everything in its place...

P35. Bulges less than my P30 and Glocks. I'm carrying a p30 right now, but at 3:00. When it gets a little more summery I'll go back to a commander, half AIWB half strong side.

When you said bulges less do you mean at the beltline or the grip? What is the slide measurement on that Pistol?

Belt line (colostomy feature). This is using a shaggy for the P35 and a wide range of top line AIWB dedicated holsters for the polymer guns. If I was a little more into the P35 I would get a JRC for it. The P35 slide is .89" -- this from the Internet, I don't have mine handy at the moment.

UNK

Do you often tuck your shirt? I was curious because the 320 is running the slimmest of the double stacks at 1" at the slide.

I'm not including lesser quality weapons that are typically not embraced on this forum. To me the Sigs HK's Glocks and others that I have omitted typically are considered for lack of a better term, duty grade, perhaps.
Which pistols are you referencing?

I'm guessing, but his post listed the P35, a double stack, with a .89" wide slide. You posted the SIG P320 has a 1" thick slide. That would make JAD's double stack P35 thinner.
