I don't mean to harsh on Sig because I like their firearms just fine, but that light/laser VFG for ninety bucks just screams "airsoft".

That huge a discount screams "Nobody's buying this crap that's clogging our warehouse" to me....

ETA:... but I've never paid attention, so I don't know what the usual retail price is, vs. the $215 MSRP. And have never handled one.

Big time.

And, aside from the fact that I don't "do" lasers, they got all my dust last week when I ordered the .22 kit and a bunch of both types of magazine last week.

Now… if all those goodies would just GET here…

uhhh...that MCX looks pretty danged cool. For my son. I mean, you know, totally for my son. Because I'm a grown ass man and don't play with air guns. Definitely for my son....

Oh, I've got a CO2 P250 and a shitload of Sig Sauer's mini steel airgun targets...poppers, swingers, a Texas star...just waiting to review.

I'm just saying that their branded accessories, such as lights and optics and whatnot, do not strike me as quite up to jumping out of helicopters with a knife in your teeth. Better than UTG, maybe, but that's a pretty low hurdle.

Hopefully they will up their accessories game the way they've been doing with their optics and suppressors. Their accessories have generally been re-branded Fobus/i-tac / Mako crap.

Any idea where they're getting their optics made? I haven't had anybody say anything bad about them yet, but nobody I know whose shit is wired tight has come out and said they're good to go, either. I'm pretty conservative when it comes to glass.

Their old mini red dot was made in china, where ever primary arms and Bushnell got theirs made.

The new stuff ? Designed in Oregon by Leupold Ex-pats, made? Just guessing but Japan or the Philippines like everyone else? Even if they are not NF quality, they are a huge step up from what SIG had before.

From the thread
I've been told they are designed in Portland, but made in Japan.

Made in Japan is good, wonder why they don't publish that anywhere.

Local dealer got a bunch of this SIG branded stuff in, optics, RDS, etc...

Not bad really, not exactly up to "work" quality but not bad.
