A remarkable book chronicling the all too short life of an amazing young surgeon has recently been published--When Breath Becomes Air (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XSSYR50/) by Dr. Paul Kalanithi. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

I have this book in my "to read" pile, after seeing a short discussion on PBS.

Just finished this book. Great read. Kalanithi is an amazing man. I found the story to be very inspirational and one of those things that helps reframe perspective.

(just get it and read it, it's short and Kalanithi's writing style is flowing and easy)
