When guys like Sammy Davis Junior would do bits like this. Some of my favorite music are the old cowboy ballads, and this is simply cool.

That's awesome. Had no clue Sammy could do that.

Sammy Davis Junior and much of the Rat Pack era guys were into Fast Draw heavily. Imagine a Hollywood where guns were cool. Here is Sammy on the Rifleman....which was one of my favorite shows.

You gotta fix that typo, it's just ain't right to call them the Brat Pack. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brat_Pack_(actors))

Talk about epic "should not type on NyQuil". Thanks for the catch.

I remember that. Sammy was the epitome of cool and he's doing that with a 7.5 inch barreled smoke wagon, not one of those candy ass 4.75 inch jobs. I'm begining to think I grew up in a foreign country.

I know a retired Army Colonel who had to help transport Sammy's six shooters through parts of Vietnam because Sammy wanted to put on an exhibition with them. Pretty damn cool.

They don't make them like that anymore. Now we have this guy.

Very cool. I did not know that Sammy was that heavily into firearms.

I have a framed print of Sammy, Frank, Dean and Joey in my game room. It would have been quite enjoyable to have them over for whiskey, cigars and poker.

Worked it into at least one movie he made.

ISTR that Mel Torme had a respectable collection of SAAs, too.

And Fast Draw....they were all into it.

Believe it or not.....Jerry Lewis was one of the fastest guys out there in his day. Very different Hollywood.

I bet he didn't mind his audience owning guns, either.
Unlike so many actors today who will pop blanks for the camera and play patty cake with the SugarBrady Bunch.

Ban Hammer........you need to get some serious time set aside on the DVD player for some Americanization.

I seem to remember an old article in a gun or knife magazine that pictured Sammy Davis Jr.with a fast draw rig and a Nelson Cooper Bowie Knife.

Yeah......I was the only kid who's dad bought the Betamax instead of VHS. But I do think we were the first in the neighborhood with a color TV and we also had the first microwave oven (which was thanks to mom)....so they got it right once in awhile.

That's really cool. I had no idea firearms used to be that accepted in Hollywood. I knew Steve McQueen was into guns but that Sammy Davis Jr. video is great.

Nowadays, it's like I have to be content with knowing all my favorite actors hate everything I stand for [emoji22]

I saw him do it on TV once and here's a video of his nightclub act.

Sammy was quite a hoofer, especially tap.

A lot of those old guys had Vaudevillian roots, and could dance, sing and tumble as well as act.

And, unlike Brownie, doesn't need a helmet to turn and shoot or shoot between his legs.

Did you ever hear his line when someone (who was talking about golf) asked him "What's your handicap?" Davis' response "I'm a one-eyed, black, Jew." He could be an extremely funny guy.
