Does anyone know if there is some sort of a flexible cable that allows me to run one end into my drill's chuck and the other end to a 1/4" bit?

They make heavy duty Dremel cables like that

Amazon.com: flex shaft rotary tool (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_11?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=flex+shaft+rotary+tool&sprefix=flex+shaft+%2Caps%2C483)

not sure how the flex shaft is going to work for you, are you thinking of attaching it to the trimmer somehow? What trimmer do you have? I use Wilson/Sinclair with a power screwdriver attached to it, not super fast rotation, but faster than I'd do it by hand. The driver is small enough to just lay there, semi supported by it's handle when I'm not holding it.

^ what he said.

I'm interested in what you're up to.

Here's a flexible shaft with a 1/4" hand chuck for $25.00

http://www.amazon.com/Enkay-115-C-Shaft-4-Inch-Carded/dp/B001PTSWJ6

I just use a small rechargeable driver with my Lee Quick trim deluxe. I'm not sure I want the trimmer spinning all the time.

I have something like this for my Wilson Trimmer: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-7-1-2-in-Flexible-Shaft-Bit-Extension-A10FB75/202078689?AID=11210757&PID=6151265&SID=ike0sbplon00b0av001rw&cm_mmc=CJ-_-6151265-_-11210757&cj=true#.UmDcNvmTh8E

Have you considered a GTC Trimmer? I love mine.

Thanks guys. Not sure about the dremel stuff. I looked at that before posting, but I have t admit, I can't figure out if it will work with a standard chuck or not. I found this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B017YVV5R4?psc=1 from one of the other links above, and it looks like it might work.

I've tried almost all the trimmers out there, and I don't find the more expensive ones to work measurably better than the cheapest ones. Slightly easier and faster, but not as fast as I would like, and certainly not worth the price difference. I have not tried the Dillon trimmer, though, and I hear good things about that set up.

Anyway, I thought I'd try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_COpV_tArjQ

Have you used the GTC? It takes care of length and in+out mouth bevel, at the same time, in about 3-5 seconds per case. It doesn't get much faster.

The RT1200/RT1500 is sweet. I have an RT1200, might upgrade to the 1500 now that I have a 1050.

I use my GTC for long-range loads, for anything where in going to get most of my brass back. It's a gem.

I used to have one. Wasn't crazy about it, but many people obviously are. I forget what I didn't like about it at the time, but if I recall, it was annoying to change calibers, and I didn't always get as even a trim as I would like. The cost of trimming a bunch of calibers was also annoying. Maybe I should revisit it, and might if my poor mans auto doesn't work out well.

The press setup that I linked to is similar to my setup, but I have an automatic case ejector coming from Inline Fabrication, so it should be at least as quick as the Giraud, if not quicker. The foot pedal is pretty cool.

it was annoying to change calibersA fair point. Caliber changes, if you don't have additional blade holder with blades, can be slow.

The Inline Fabrication case ejector for the RockChucker is a really nice addition.

Good luck with your search.

I hate brass prep, especially trimming.

Thanks.

I set up a second(or first, I guess) tool head for prepping my .223 cases on the Load Master.
prep turret
Station 1 - Decap
Station 2 - Size and prime
Station 3 - Empty
Station 4 - Quick Trim
Station 5 - Empty

loading turret

Station 1 - Empty
Station 2 - Powder Charge (currently with Auto Disk, double disk and spring return but I will be switching to the new Auto Drum measure soon)
Station 3 - Hornady Powder Check
Station 4 - bullet seat
Station 5 - Lee Factory Crimp

I clean the cases then lube with Lee case lube thinned with 90% isopropyl alcohol, run them through the case prep turret then load and a quick tumble of the finished cartridges.

Of course this doesn't work for military once fired the first time around. Those I decap and swage single stage.

I've since moved on to a Dillon Rapid Trimmer on my 650 with a Swage-It...but before, I used a Little Crow Gunworks World's Fastest Trimmer like this..

Sure does! I put one on my rockchucker just because it cuts time on removing primers, one less step.

I have the WFT for 308, but I don't load 308 anymore. I recall it working well, but I think I had to chamfer and deburr still. A friend just showed me this. Looks great, and he says it works great. If they made it for 300wm, I'd buy one.

That sure looks to be a well made tool, but $275.00? I guess I'm just a cheapskate. The Lee Quick Trim Deluxe is hard to beat and precise/repeatable.

Power or hand crank?

It comes manual but there is an adapter to run it with a 1/4 drive drill. I thought that was what you were looking for the flex shaft for. I just use a small cordless driver but a foot controlled motor would make it that much better.

Gotcha. Mine is not manual at all, just 1/4 drive. Been looking at the manual as an option as well. I Used mine the other day with a drill hooked up. Too much power, I think. I need to pick up a screwdriver to try with it instead.

Thanks.Me too. It's almost enough to make a guy want to go back to lever actions.

I have a WFT, too. It is pretty neat, but you do have to chamfer and deburr separately.

not digging the shell holder design or adjust setup. I prefer my Wilson with the micrometer adjust depth setting behind the case and ability to use full length sized or neck sized. Maybe a tad slower, but not much. My only complaint is the way they did the hand crank to power, you lose all your settings with the way they did that, and a simple fitted collar would have prevented it.
