My family fought on the union side and went through some pretty tough times at the hands of the Confederates. But Lee was an honorable and principled man who I have to respect.

The current trend that demands we eradicate the memories of people who society no longer agrees with seems to me to be both dangerous and stupid. While I don't mind the lefties attacking their former hero, Woodrow Wilson, they need to leave Lee alone.

Both sides were both justified and complete crap, it was a civil war.

I have no desire to see an entire side erased from history as so many waves of ignorant fools desire.
