Hi All,
Just introducing myself.
New pistol owner from Cape Town , South Africa.
Correction - I will be a new pistol owner in 2 to 3 months after all the paperwork is funished....
Pistol has been payed for and all the tests done and paperwork filed for processing.
We have to jump through quite a few hoops in South Africa for firearm licences. Stacks and stacks of paperwork. Anyway... its in for review....
Had a 38 special revolwer for the last 23 years and thought it was time for a upgrade.
Hope to have a great time with you :) and getting some excellent tips
Regards
Pikes

Thank you for the welcome :D

Bought a pistol that have some very conflicting reports from a few websites ;) lol even here, but I am starting to see that the general consensus is starting to favor the weapon.

I bought a new Beretta PX4 Storm - Full size in 9mm
Even the Glock guys seem to like it: http://www.glocktalk.com/threads/beretta-px4-storm.1589931/
I get jealous when I see your weapon prices. The Beretta`s price is US$809.25 in South Africa. That is almost double your price.

This is the gun shop that`s about 8km from me where I bought the pistol: https://www.safariandoutdoor.co.za/stellenbosch.store
Have a look here and you can see what type and brand of weapons they have available to us.
Very nice store. And the people there seem to know what they are talking about.

We have very strict gun control laws here.
Only 1 weapon may be registered as a self defense weapon at a time. There is a few other options like dedicated sport shooter / dedicated hunter etc, but that is not an easy process for the average citizen.

That's unfortunate, but congrats on the new pistol!
