In my cheese thread, I mention buying a box of these. A post asked for an evaluation. So, this is totally nonscientific based on one box of 20.
Situation - IDPA match
Gun - SW 1911Sc Commander. Wilson Combat 8 round mags.
Loaded the gun with the stuff. One shot, then a double feed. The SO (this is just a local match) said I could restart but that's nice but no. I didn't care about time, it was practice to clear the gun and get back into the run. So I did.
That was the only malfunction. The gun ran without malfunction on the rest of the Sig ammo and for the second mag of it.
The gun ran without a burp for the rest of the match on WWB and Blazer aluminum.
Accuracy was in the normal range of my performance with a 1911 and comparable to the other ammo.
It was snappy than the others. I had a definite bright red web of my hand after shooting it. Not so much for the others. I think I would be slower on shot recovery with it unless I really shot a great deal of it. Which I wouldn't do as it is expensive. I didn't find Hornady Critical Defense that snappy, IIRC.
My other take away from the match is that, horrors - I like the gun but I like shooting 9mm Glocks better. Also, everything jams. In my squad, two M&Ps jammed, a Sig P320 jammed and a Springfield XD jammed. That is along with my 1911.
Fun day. The CDP guys were talking and we were pretty convinced that the 1911s were fun but we all carried some plastic newfangled gun.
Denunciation of Hillary was chatter. Since she is attacking Bernie as him being a gun nut, it was pointed out that if he is and being a socialist - there will be free college and free guns for everyone. Chuckles ensued. Quite a few women shooting and from another thread, Hispanics and African-Americans. San Antonio is diverse.
Then I went to a French restaurant and had an omelet before doing some shopping for the lovely wife. It had cheese in it. Tonight it is Sichuan pork belly and leeks from take out.
