Zeroed a rifle with the new Aimpoint T-2 optic in a Scalarworks mount yesterday. I do notice improved dot sharpness with the T-2 over the T-1, as others have reported here. Not a huge difference, not a big deal with target focus, but noticeable when shooting for groups. The rheostat is much easier to adjust on the T-2. The lens covers are OK; not crazy that they stick up when open, but not sure if I dislike them enough to remove them. There are protective wings around the elevation adjustment which seem to be designed to make it more difficult to make adjustments. Unlike the T-1, only one of the caps on the T-2 has adjustment pins, so some adjustments will require removing both caps. These are minor issues, and I prefer the T-2. The Scalarworks mount is pretty cool; the lightest mount out there, locks onto the rail with impressive solidity; took it on and off the rifle several times with no loss of zero. Scalarworks evidently has mounts in development for bigger Aimpoints and the MRO.

I also prefer the T2 over the T1. Better dot, and better glass view. I turned the lens caps 180 degrees so that when they are open the rest against the top rail.

I was just going to inquire why no one apparently does that.

I do it. Spring forces keep the caps down when shooting. I've had a few covers close during strings of fire and corrected it quickly.

I thought everyone did that?

After the 2nd or 3rd range trip I figured that out. Much less floppier that way. ;)

I own 3 Aimpoints. No magnifiers though, thank the optic gods for 1-4x scopes :)

All the photos I see show the hinge @ 1200. Never made sense to me.
