Now that winter has officially slammed the Midwest and like me many of you are likely outdoors freezing your ass off...

I've gotten into playing a little game called "The Long Dark". Short and sweet of it is it's a simple game where you're a bush pilot stranded in the Canadian wilderness after some sort of unexplained EMP event, and it's one of the worst winters on record. There's no storyline (yet) or anything, it's just a simple how long can you survive, scavenge, and hunt before starving/freezing type deal. No run and gun stuff (although there is the rare 303 rifle), and no enemies except any hostile animals you come across. I can make it about 5 days before getting myself killed doing something stupid like getting lost in a snowstorm at night
